Air Exhaust from Underground Grow Room

Okay, so basically, i dug a huge hole in my backyard and put a building in it. The building has hidden access, electric, and cable:hump:. My only problem, since i now live with other people, HOW DO I VENT THE DAMN THING? The 'cave' is about 200ft from the main house, but i still cant figure out how to get air in and out. Cause big pipes stickin outta the ground are suspicious.

:joint:Thanks in advance guys:joint:

Pictures would help, but I understand if you dont want to post them. I had an idea like this before, and my thought was to run all the ducting on the ceiling of the entrance. So if there were stairs down into the hole, you could run some 6" ducting on the ceiling, then when it hits ground level, put a grate over the top and paint it a dark camo color (whatever would blend in, grass, leaves, etc)

what i would possibly try to do is run a shit ton of ducting to and from under the house "ducting buried a foot down or so" that way all the hot air would go under the house and maybe look like its heat from a dryer. you would need one hell of a inline fan though. i cut a hole in the floor of my house and run the ducting under it behind the dryer and that works for me. maybe someone else will have a better idea but that is my 2 cents.

seal it off and do a sealed/closed grow environment. No air in or out. If you do that, you will need temperature control, a carbon filter to keep the air clean, and co2. Sounds like a sealed grow would be your style with the whole underground grow room! Plus, by the time you spend the money to vent and duct everything, you could probably afford the extra equipment to just make it completely sealed.

damn! thats fancy. how the heck were you able to make a secret entrance and you cant figure out a small hole for exhaust/intake?? how do you enter the room? just a thought, you can make a bush somewhere above it where you can hide intake exhaust. you could also make several small holes like 2" each using a black hose conceal them in the thick bush. another option is to make a fixed box above claim to use it for compost garbage or watever and raise it a bit make the hole below it. hope this helps

wow, this got really creative. I think i'll go with the fixed box idea, cause im planning on putting a vegetable garden above it and a tool box or compost box would be the least suspicious.

yep closed off environment for sure! if you do try to run a intake and exhaust it will be loud, someone will be walking by your tool box or compost box and there would be alot of humming. you could just tell them your a bee carer lol.

I'm inclined to go with the sealed grow room. The fact you are growing within 200' of others and they don't know is kinda nuts, but I like it. I would love to see some pictures. If you are going to garden above this thing, I assume you have it deep enough and used a waterproof liner for your roof? Why not build a small tool shack and hide ventilation in that? One way or another, you are going to have to introduce oxygen.

I still dont know how you're going to care for the plants without people seeing you go there a few times a day. I guess techincally once you get everything dialed in, you need only go down there every 3 days or so, but when you're setting shit up youre going to be going back and forth?

i dont think sealing a room off where plants are growing is a good idea, no matter the temps. mj needs fresh air and CO2 (CO2 mainly). supplement this and i dont see this beein a terrible idea. would still wanna go air her out ever 2 days or so. goodtimez

i did a similar thing but ln a much much smaller scale. i dug a hole about 3X3.5X4 and i had ducts comin from them. And to answer how he can get the equipment in there without being seen u get right at sunrise. no ones awake, if you go through the work to dig the hole youll be able to make it work if you really want it

What I woudl do is get a used hot tub off craigs list and put that out thier witha deck around it.

This gives you a reason to go out their all the time.. A cool place to smoke.. and it will cover up the smell and the noise (clorine and hot tub systematically goign on to filter the water). Plus if will cover up any heat signature.

I like your thinking, but i have around $0 to spend on a hot tub, and my friends definitely wouldn't want it at the back of the lot.

Get a hobby that requires a shed. Put a small tool shed on top of your cave entrance, put in a hidden locked trap door to your cave, insulate and aircondition the tool shed, vent out directly under your ac to hide heat signature, insulate your grow with IR block, camoflage your venting in the shed, actually work on your hobby in your shed and show your roommates the fruits of your hobby, keep your tool shed locked because of the tools for your hobby are in there, make sure you get a good sized carbon filter for the smell, and stop acting so paranoid. :)
