Air filter placement, inrelation to the room.

My veg room is 12x10x10. Im setting up my ventilation, which consists of a 425cfm(loaded) inline fan, all 6" ducting, carbon filter, and duct muffler. Im pulling through two 22"x18" 6" ported hoods, that are on 6' movers, and venting into the attic.

My question is, ...where in the room should my intake filter be?

Should it be high, or low in the room? (heat rises so Im thinking high)

Or does placement depend on where the fresh air is being brought in?

With the way my hoods are positioned, and considering where my fans/muffler are, ...Im wanting to hang the filter pretty much against the middle of the wall (about 6-8 inches away), and lower, about 1/3 of the way up the wall.

Any advice is appreciated.

have your Intake low. So it's sucking cold air into your room. Have your carbon filter up high, so it's sucking out hot air

Thanks for the reply. That makes sense. I think I'll try to hang the filter about 12" from the ceiling. Maybe instead of it hanging close to the wall, I should try to place it in the center of the room, ....and then remove the ceiling ac vent (central AC) out and run a 6" hose down towards floor level.
