Air Filters. Advice!!!

Hey Guys,

will be becoming a first time grower in the next few days and just before I start I wanna make sure
im clued up with what im doing during the whole process. I was wondering if its possible to grow marijuana
without an air filter. I have a GCT 60 Grow Tent (http://3ch.co.uk/accessories/grow-tents/gct60-grow-cube-tents/prod_1213.html)
with a 65watt CFL bulb for during the seedling stage and a 400watt M.H & Sodium bulbs for later periods. I'll be using a 6 inch
clip on fan to keep the bulb/plants cool (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003Y3ZIJ8/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
throughout the whole process and may even invest in another to maximise cooling. Will I still need to think about getting an air filter system
or can one use the system described, without any.

a big thank you in advance!

you can totally grow without an air filter but thats only if your not worried about smell...it's gonna reek.
i do advise an intake HEPA filter for dust and things if your not using a carbon filter. Also you still need the inline fan for proper ventilation and cooling.
Hope this helps. ;)

No, if you are doing a stealth grow, which i assume you are considering you are in the UK and especially if you are from a big city, buy a filter. Dont try to make a shitty DIY filter, dont buy a filter that is rated for less cfm than your fan because its cheaper, spend a bit of money and have peace of mind. The plants will stink. Just my opinion because i decided i didnt need a filter for my first grow

I had a friend who just had to end a grow early because of a bad filter.
When you grow, you invest allot of time effort and money to do it; mostly for the love of doing it at first, but even then you should not cut corners.
My friend was six weeks into flower before the neighbors smelt it.
Do yourself a favor buy a good filter, you won't be disappointed, but like my friend; you might really be if you don't.

4" carbon scruuber and inline fan was my best investment. I need that for one plant! Its the nature of the beast....it stinks more and more deeper into flower. Masking the smell doesnt work for long. As stated invest in a scrubber/fan combo (mine was $140). I dont run it with ducting or into a hood. I just sat it on the floor in my area, turned it on, closed the door, and run it 24-7. Huge difference no smell.
