What is the heat pump in the link you posted? Is that the big air handler looking thing? Or is that what you mean by not a 'mini' split. if so, i really like that!

It has an indoor air handler like a normal split style but has the inverter tech heat pump. So you get the best of both worlds.
Any mini split is just a heat pump. Many have the option to heat as well as cool.
