Air pots? Experiences with them?

Hey Rollitup family,
Since I have started researching cannabis cultivation Ive been hearing countless positive reviews on air pots. Ive heard they allow you to grow very large plants with a relatively small container with the air pruning technology. Now will anyone who has experience with these or any root pruning pot for the matter enlighten me with there experience. Im thinking about purchasing some but if they are truly not worth it I don't think I will as it seems I would have to go out of my way to get my hands on some. And also suggestions on what size pots I should get if I want 1-2 zips per plant. Ive heard a lot of different answers about that too.

Peace. :peace:

I've never used an air pot, don't even know what it is or the theory on how it works. .. but I would say a minimum 1 gallon pot that's what I use for my little sog but a 3 gallon would be best in my opinion.....

See my thread 320w. Last grow I combined APs with Hydro Halo spray and got really good result. Now gearing up for HH 2.0 with lessons learned

The plant in the AP was grown pre Hydro Halo, and as good as it came out, my then DIY method did not properly spray in the inside of the APs. Pic 3 is first attempt with HH

Super Roots Air Pots are the best plant pot ever, hands down.
It's the only pot I actively recommend.

This is a plant I've just harvested in a 10L airpot after 6 weeks veg and 9 weeks flower, the widest part of the canopy is around 1m square and the plant stands 4f 10" (ish) from the floor......

Growing prowess is still needed though, a plant like that is not all down to the pot but it sure gives a helping hand to dialed in grows.

I've also kept a mother in a 1L soil airpot for 9 months with no detrimental effects.
Plants don't get root bound at all in airpots, what happens is the root structure gets so dense that it gets to a point where you can't provide enough water each day in the pot to sustain the size of the plant.

I suppose in auto watering systems this wouldn't be a problem but I hand water so.....

I've got a couple like that right now they are getting transplanted today so I don't have to water them every day. Man my to do list is getting quite large today!

I was also curious as to what sizes would be good. so you flowered a nice plant in a 10L and a mother in a 1L for 9 mos, ok what other sizes did ya use on the flowerd plant?

That's it really.

I start beans and clones in 1L pots to get a good root structure and then transplant into 10L pots after about 2 weeks.

If mothers do need repotting then you could just stick them in 3L pots (or if bigger mothers are needed 6L) and they'd last a while in those, just keep taking a fresh cut from the mother to make a new mother and flower the old mother out once every year or 2.

If you are a competent grower I'll challenge you to try and out grow a 10L airpot as I've not yet managed to do it, the plant is likely to out grow your space before it does the pot so I don't see any need for a bigger pot but you can get airpots in pretty much any size you like.
