Air pump question -

I am now on pump number three in under 8 months. Anyone have any suggestions on a good brand of air pump?

They are both from a hydro store. They replaced the first one that went out. Now that I am replacing yet again, it would be best to switch to a more reliable brand I think.

Air pump for my ebb and flow reservoir. No liquids being moved by it, just air to a couple of stones. The brand was Econo-Air, the only brand carried by my local hydro store. Cheap enough, about $15 dollars for an adjustable dual outlet. Guess I know why they are so cheap.

Took your advice and went to a pet store. Found a good pump (I think), the Tetra Whisper series. They wanted $59 for the Whisper 60 model. Went next store to Wally World and found the same pump for $25. Thing makes NO noise...just a bubbling sound from the res. Will be curious to see if this one lasts.

That is the one that I ended up going with. I went with the "60" model which is oversized, but the smallest with 2 outlets.
