Air Pump Question

I'm looking for recommendations on a good air pump. I've heard you need 1 watt per gallon and others stuff - really unsure.

Do y'all suggest a regular 4 outlet like this?

I'm doing DWC SOG method - two 10 gallon tubs for veg and two 10 gallon tubs for flower - in seperate grow tents. I wanted to use ONE pump for both or do y'all suggest TWO seperate air pumps?

Count on one of anything and prepare to to watch disaster unfold when, not if, it breaks.

Go big to grow big. But you don't say where these units are located. A big pump means big noise.
 
Most el-cheapo aquarium pumps run 24/7 for a number of years. A 2 outlet will run 4 small stones no problem. The sleeze bay ads are overpriced crap specifically aimed at hydro for more money.
Perhaps they do not understand air is not measured by the gallon:dunce:

BINGO! Playing on hype. My homemade DWC units are using Wal Mart aquarium pumps and the bubbles look just like, well, bubbles! I'm keeping the Wal Mart part a secret from the roots. My only "secret" is having a backup for when, not if, anything mechanical fails. But these $60 pumps that look like an airbrush compressor and make about as much noise? Giddouddaheah.
 
In fact what george xxx said about pumps is true about 90% of the stuff I see here related to growing pot. KISS!!!!!
 
Tetra pumps are cheap and extremely reliable. They can be found at any pet store, WalMart ect...and come in many sizes and configurations. If I were you I would use a separate pump for each tub.
 
I currently have 7 5 site RDWC setups. I use the 110ml air pumps at the hydro store for about $100. I find that these mixed with the 5" air disc from a pet store work the best. I haven't seen a single root issue since doing this. I get great results. I also use the black tubing to keep the light out. You can also get a little manifold with these pumps so you can have multiple hookups and shut down ones you aren't using.
