ok right now i have a 13 gallon air pump and im running 1 5 gallon dwc bucket. at the moment i have 2 sandstone 1 inch air stones in it, i want to know if i can hook up one more bucket to the air pump and just put a 6 inch bubble bar in each one. could i run the two 5 gallon buckets with a 6 inch air stone in each? and will it be effective?

Hmmm...I have run a 4 in bubble bar in a 5 gallon bucket with as good as results as the same bucket and a 6 in airstone...as long as the pump is for more than the gallons you have you should be fine, because the amount of oxygen in the water is more dependent on the temperature of the water, than it is on the device you use to deliver oxygen...a bigger pump gives you more bubbles, or numerous air stones in one bucket...but no matter the bubble thing size, it isn't really giving any more O

thanks. i just know you cant use two different air stones in two different buckets. the one that puts out more will work and the one that doesnt put out as much air wont

but I totally suck at hydro, and not because of the bubbles, so I switched to soil and everything is awesome...so I decided to try coco...and I that is going alright..I don't know why, but I just can't figure out hydro...I use a DIY hydro cloner with 100% success, but as soon as they get roots I put them in soil and they just take right off...if I leave them in the hydro they start to go all yellow and look like clones...but no clone look if i go from cloner to soil...going to try cloner to coco and see how that goes...need to do it soon...they are turning a good deal yellow, but all have roots...everytime I try to feed hydro plants it goes bad, and they all need feeding...so to the soil or coco we gogo...I have a green thumb that must stay dry, everything in hydro dies, but the bubbles were never the issue...

Mine always spread equally when I needed to make a clone still when doing hydro...anyway the more air the better, so a bigger pump is usually the best answer...get one twice what you have for one..that way you will get the bubbles you want to see in both buckets...I never had more than one, and perhaps a cloner going...but I got all that mess out of there with the soil, and the cloner I use now is not DWC, it is uuuuhhhh like I guess aeroponics of some sort...it utilizes sprayers just spraying everything...makes clones like crazy though...the first time I used it I did what I did cloning straight into soil, take 2x you need...well had to go back in a few weeks and kill half my plants since they all made it...lol.

when they start to go yellow and look weak it means u need to feed them. im using 7-7-7 plant food. no big nutes or anything my whole grow and they are taking off. look at my journal

i could just go buy another 13 gal pump and another bucket and lid but ill be spending about 18 bucks if i just get another bucket and airstone then it will be like 6 bucks

Missnu: Hydro is serious business. You have to know what you're doing or all you'll get out of it is frustration. In hydro when you see a problem it already happened and now you're playing catch up, often it's already too late. I wish there was an easier way, but from what you ask, I think I’d suggest the following:
1. Read: SeeMoreBud’s book, “MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS- GROW 8 OZ. OF BUDS FOR LESS THAN $100.”
2. Read: Jorge Cervantes’s book, “MARIJUANA HORTICULTURE THE INDOOR/OUTDOOR MEDICAL GROWER’S BIBLE.”
3. Read: Ed Rosenthal’s, “MARIJUANA GROWER’S HANDBOOK.”
4. You’ll also want to read: Mc Carthy’s book, “GROWING MARIJUANA.”
5. You should also subscribe to, “HIGH TIMES,” magazine. Each issue is chocked full of useful information. .” All these resources are very well written, well illustrated and packed with information that will answer most of your questions before you know to ask them. And I want to add a new book to the list, a 6[SUP]th[/SUP] one: “THE CANNABIS GROW BIBLE- SECOND EDITION,” written by Greg Green. It’s a match to, if not better than, the ones listed above. Doing your homework and consulting these resources will save you and your plants a lot of anxiety before you plant. I hope this helps. HSA

I have 110lph pump that I split each of the eight outlets for 16 total sites powering 1" cylinder air stones. I use 1/4" black air hose with black T's to split the end to two different bucket reservoirs. As long as the buckets have similar water densities the air bubbles are equalized and even if they are off a bit they both get more then adequate oxygen to water. Key is to having enough liters per minute from your pump for your sites and water depths.
