I would also prefer passive.

I can link you a video (its in german but you get the idea) of what I tried to do, but I bought the wrong tank.
Go to minute 3:25 and you see the system I want to implement:

The tank that I bought sadly didnt have the ability to intake air through the tap, so I had to return it.
With a 10 or 20L tank I could get like an entire week of freedom.

Hi mate, have you considered the self watering wick systems from spider farmer? I use one and it's absolutely brilliant. Used it my last run and my entire grow was pretty much hands free. I just had to fill up the reservoir. I can't seem to find the 2 plant one no more which was around £60/70€.
