Air stone question on how to secure

The suction cups on the air stones never hold. Sometimes during grow I find my air stone in wrong place. This time I secured together with a zip tie at the hose connection. Not putting the suction cups this run. Alternate options to secure? Any ideas??

Something about dried super glue in the res, that doesn't sound too good to me. Silicon or epoxy maybe though?
I agree. Wonder if this polyurethane would work. Just remembered I had it. Thx guys for feedback. I try this on couple suction cups in place and report back.

Lol I was just being a douche. Honestly I never secured mine. They just got engulfed by the roots eventually, and ended up not being able to move anyways.
Agreed they gonna get all tangled up with the root mass. Was hoping to give it some effort to fight off the chaos. Keep all those bubbles low.

Drill many tiny holes in a large U made with pvc or hose and "air ate" the whole tub?
The pvc got better coverage? I upgraded to these stones last grow. I’m liking the bubbles and they don’t get clogged. You feeling the bubble coverage on bottom isn’t enough?

The bubbles don't really help, other than agitating the waters surface, where the real oxygenation takes place. You could do a waterfall, or fluming, and get the same, if not better, results.

Thanks for the clarification. Appreciate it. I understand completely. I’m over thinking it.

I’m gonna let it ride and keep an eye on the stones. Go with the flow and grow. Hollatchaboy thanks for the help.

Nah your good. Definitely need something to agitate the water so the surface keeps getting broke. Airstones do the job, it just doesn't matter where they are placed in the res. As long as they keep breaking the surface. That being said, the more agitation at the surface, the better.

I use bleach in my res, so I'd be worried about a chemical interaction. I have no reason to mount mine down anyways, but if mounting was an issue for me, I would probably just switch to fluming.
