just have a couple specific question about my grow room plans... ill start with the basic details of what im planning i have a 8×10 room its heated and cooled with the rest of the house and has a ceiling fan in the middle of the room... plan to have (2) 2.5x5x6.5 tents gonna use diy ebb n flow tables maybe placed on a stand 1 to 2.5 feet high so im not breakin my back when i train and coco coir/perlite medium flower tent will have a 1000w double ended hps on a 1000w dimmable ballast air cooled hood 350cfm inline fan with carbon filter couple small fans think ill start flower at 600w low and maybe the last couple weeks move it up and put it on 1000w for veg im going with a 1000 full spectrum uv/ir led hoping since its led i can get away with just a few fans also in the future want to add another tent to keep a few mothers but thatll come later wanting to get the veg n flower going first. since summers coming i think im gonna sync the 18/6 with lights out during the hottest part of the day between 12-6pm to help mitigate heat that also makes it where my schedule will allow me to train n check on them during lights on...now that you have a good idea of my plans i can get to my questions... im hoping to have 4 plants in each tent 2 of them id like to have about 1 or 2 months ahead of the other two that way im harvesting 2 plants every month or two... do you guys think this is ample space for that? thinking of starting 2 strains like some pineapple express gelato or maybe wedding cake and say supposing i nail everything else temp humidity light airflow what kinda yeilds would you estimate this kinda set up will produce... and my airflow question... i think im going to run the ceiling fan 24/7 or atleast during lights on and leave the door open with a baby gate in the door way to assist with fresh air flow and to keep my dogs out(ones a party girl and looooves weed she will eat it) the other hates it wants nothing to do with it lol... do you guys thinks it necessary for me to run my vent into the attic or out thru a wall or window if i can for now id like to get away with out putting a hole in the wall or ceiling n def not a fan of using the window... all suggestions n comments are welcome preciate it!

Your going to use your fixed ac unit? So your going to cycle all that humidity throughout your house, also all that heat from those lights, It may work but remember where the thermostat is and cold air sinks heat rises, the rest of your house is I’ll be comfortable and that room will be substantialy hotter..

Don't do that, at least not when it's cool/cold outside. Warm humid air will condense in your attic causing black mold faster than you can blink an eye. It will then become extremely expensive to repair.
gotcha so if i did vent into the attic definitely tie it into either the bathroom vent or stove vent so it doesnt go into the attic just thru it and out the roof

i have a single level house on a slab is that more of what you mean when you remind me heat rises? i kno when you have multi level houses usually its cooler in the basement and lower levels naturally and upstairs usually tends to get hotter specially in the summer ...i kno as a kid i couldnt sleep on the top bunk in bunk beds because the air was too dry and warm and i would wake up with nose bleeds because it was dryin out the membrains in my nose lbs

Heat rises so up above will be considerable difference it’s easier to heat something than it is to cool, I think if you don’t exhaust it somewhere it will be a mish mash of temps

use your kitchen hood if you can

Ok mate, lets just step back and check what you said so we can understand you properly.

You have a room 8x10ft

In that room your going to grow in two tents, both been 2.5ft x 5ft and 6.5ft high?

One of which is going to flower in with 1000wDE hps?

You're going to run DE in 2.5x2.5' with only 6.5' ceilings? You realize you need 30+ inches between that light and your canopy? and it's enough light for 4x that space?
2 foot by 5 foot by 6.5 foot and ill prolly run the 1000w light at 600w on the 600w ballast setting thinkin maybe only try turning it up to 1000 last couple weeks of flower if they can handle it i want to invest in the 1000w even if i dont use its full capacity in the tent incase i want to expand outside the space available inside the tent ....originally i had 4x4x6.5 tents on my list but 2 of those wont fit in the room i plan to use unless theyre smashed side to side and that cuts off my proper airflow... on paper itll look like this

Sry misread that tent size. Still a ton of light for the space. You may want to look into some LED if you don't want to run a dedicated AC unit.

That's just way too much light for that space IMO. As stated below 6.5 height is also a problem.

I don't use DE HPS so I can only go on what I hear from others, but tents are not good for DE though I know some run them fine, 6.5ft height and only half the space the light covers is OTT to the max.

Why not run 2x 315s in there instead, suits the space better.

my de light will have a hood that works with inline venting to cool the light even at 600w with the venting running thru the light you think to much?

That small of a space it will cook your plants unless you fit a portable ac unit in there a btu off the top of my head a 500 btu? 800 soft for a residential setting is equal to 1 tone. You got 50? Sqft
That rooms small and you got good heat transfer if you have a slab on grade it will hold the heat well
