Airpot or not

Have used fabric pots for the last 2 grows this last grow I encountered a problem i never seen before never solved and had to give up 3 weeks of flower and chop early I put it down to too small a pot for the plant size but anyway question is ..... are Airpots any good to use I have bought the yellow bottoms I think they're 9 or 10 litres have read a little bit and was told that roots would never get too big due to air pruning ?? What are the pros and cons of these I've only bought 4 of them so I will be running some fabric pots next to them but not letting the plants get as big as the harvest before as there the same size pots any info is appreciated

I wouldn't use anything but airpots.........been using them for years.
They air prune the roots like fabric, but they're easier to move around and they don't have to be elevated.
I have the yellow bottom 9.2 liter ones and I can grow a tree in them.

Some big nuggets by there any tips or tricks for using them ? My mate grew some in Airpots a few years back and just whinged about water leaking out the sides when watering do you have his problem or was he just watering to fast I told him to try doing it slower but he still said it was the same and pissed out the sides

Lol.

I cover mine in pantyhose to prevent fungus gnats from getting in the holes.
You need to water slow.........adding a drop of dish detergent will help with the saturation.

I love my Air Pots and wouldn't use anything else.

Here's what I've learned:

1. Fungus gnats use the holes in the air pots to gain access to the roots. You will have fungus gnat problems. I use Nature's Good Guys to address the gnat problems. Not an issue
2. I primarily grow in hydroton in a top-feed hydroponics setup. However, if growing in soil, you will need to water a lot more frequently. The holes allow a lot of water to drain out as well as allow the soil to dry quickly.

You CANNOT beat growing in an Air Pot!!!!
