Oh ok, double potting assumes you're transplanting. I would prefer to just germ right in a 5 gallon size and go straight through to harvest in it. Is there something I'm missing here?

Yes, double potting is when you are in flower and want to transplant but are scared to "stress" your plant by transplanting it.

In reality, people stress their plants by keeping them rootbound.

I don't mind transplanting ANY time it is needed. I have tried double potting and it is OK, but it is easier to have your dirt in one container.. :)

Yeah that's about right , for me it was about space , I could only veg in a small space before moving to a flower room , If i could i would have just gone with a bigger pot from the start , I have a bit more space now but i have just stuck with the process as its simple and does seem to make a difference dropping a air pot into a nice new big pot of fresh soil ( Coco ).

I tryed removing the air pot and transplanting into the buckets i use ...and the difference was staggering .... growth ( at start of streach ) was slower ...Smaller plant .... bud production was late in coming .... and the yield was way way less .

That was just one plant so it could have been any number of factors that made it like that .... so untill i try again i can't be sure .... But before and since its been big plants violent growth and big ass buds :)
