Can't say you don't think it's heat if you don't know how hot it is.. And since you don't know, my guess is heat. Hairy bud can be a sign of high heat which you have. Plus heat is the most common newbie mistake so get yourself an ir gun. If your temps are at eighty or higher there's nothing you can do to make good herb out of that plant. Too late. Next time stay on top of your environment! Lesson learned! If they are around 75 that's proper and then pursue the possibility of light leaks or lights on your timer or power strips. Make sure your nute regimen is proper.. Straight coco is harder to grow in switch back to soil until you really know what you're doing

I have done the same and never had an issue, my golden goat probably on clone generation 50 by now.

Possible causes:

Insufficient light - No.
Heat - Don't think so; buds aren't getting foxtails.
Genetics - Possible. 3rd generation clones from feminized seeds, but last grow was perfectly fine.
Nutrients - Was watering with EC 2.0; told to flush and lower to 1.2.

I also had a small amount of light leak for the first two weeks, which I fixed. There hasn't been that much progress since.


So, are these buds a complete waste, or is there a way to fatten them up enough to actually harvest them?

Then who knows? I could be wrong. But I would imagine the stress of having to reroot from nothing three separate times would weaken genetic stability and would alter the chromosomes and alleles. This is what many people believe, as well. Truth be told, though, I do not have any experience with it, so I don't know.

No, not really Green. That would not be a factor. Damage to the gene's would not result from that.
I actually up-pot 4 times (root riot, to solo, to 1gal, to 3s, to 5-7s).. The use of kelp extract is fantastic for re-potting! The 4th is done from 3 gallons to 5's or 7's and a "bloom" soil mix is used (organic). They then sit for 8-10 days and got moved to the bloom room and 11/13 lighting times. this allows the roots to begin to grow into the new soil nicely. This is a water only built soil run at all stages.

Sorry for the late reply, and I appreciate all the input but you guys are way off.

This is a 75% INDICA strain (White Widow x Big Bud). White Widow is 50/50 and Big Bud is definitely Indica.

I get that the normal advice is "Don't trust the label" but I've grown this strain 3 times by now and it ALWAYS finishes at 8 weeks with big heavy buds.

I wouldn't be here otherwise.

I've lowered the EC to 1.2 with Soft Water.
I've extended the flowering period to 13/11.
I've tried to normalize the temps between light/dark (though I've never had an issue with this. In winter, the temp differences are huge).

Only thing I'm still lacking in (I think) is the Nutrients.

I'm using H&G Cocos A+B and as someone mentioned, I'm using the same ratio (as says the feed chart), which is why PK might be low.

It doesn't seem like H&G claim you need a PK supplement with Cocos or else you'll get shitty buds, but it doesn't make TOO much sense that using the exact same ratio in veg and flower will work, right? Not sure.

In any case, I think I need a serious PK boost. Can anyone recommend?

I've heard of shooting powder.. what say you?

dry kool bloom is the cheapest that I know of, you might be careful extending your flowering period to 13/11 it could result in reveg, wish ya the best.

Sorry, I meant 11/13. As in 11 hours light, 13 hours dark.

Well, what's the BEST one, not the cheapest?
