Ak 47 auto week 9 - almost no smell?!

Hey everyone,

the ak autos are just at the beginning of week 9. They're under 400w hps and are already quite crystally. I would say about 10-20% of pistils are orange now.
Since they're sopposed to be done pretty soon (and seem to be getting there) I thought it was quite weird that there is still only a very faint smell. Did this happen to anyone else? Is it some kind of deficiency or even caused by light leaking in? my leafs look very healthy so i dont think its a deficiency.... except for nitrogen but i assume thats normal this late into the grow...
Theyre supposed to have quite a strong smell too according to what ive read....

Any info would be great!

Yeah man it's nothing to worry about. I have grown plenty of strains that had no smell. Even some that smell like a strawberry plant or even a mint plant that had me worried. Once you dry and cure them the smell your looking for will be there. Its all good my friend!

And I have grown ak autos with no smell throughout flowering that turned out to be a real treat. Your over analyzing this bud. Smoke a j and put that mind at ease!

No worries, I went through the same shit at one time. Thinking it was messed up but it turned out to be some fire!! Happens often!

Maybe you are just used to the smell. That's what my girlfriend tells me when she comes over.

Most people think that smell matters and it represents the potency of the weed . It is not!! I have smoke some weed which smelled good but wasn't good enough and i have smoked some which didnt smell at all but was full of resins.

im growing lemon haze at the minute, real citrus smell comes off the buds apparently, ill do a smell report when they bud. started a tread on them, check it out.

Hey!
Nice helthly plants u have there!
I just have done my AK auto strain. And i must say is one of best ive seen grow. @ end of curing atm! I got aprox 85g of pure buds x plant dried!
I got some fruity citric smell but not so so strong like my previous Critical+ strain, i think smelling @ grow/flower phase is determinated by many different think.
Air preassure, RH, temp .... so in my little experience i can tell u smell of my plants are 100x stronger when high RH or high air temp.... Or just after storm :D

Yo 85 g is not bad. how tall did yours grow? and my temps tend to be a little too high 30C at the top. and my RH a little low at 30-40 maybe thats why. the smell is getting a little stronger but nothing overwhelming...

So i hope some people are still reading this...: Here is a little update/another of my worries. I know that leaves are supposed to turn yellow this late into the grow but it looks a little odd on one of the girls. Its turning yellow around the edges while the rest stays pretty green... instread of a gradual turn from yellow into green the line is clearly defined. It kinda reminded me of nuteburn but shes not even getting any for like a 4 days now.
Here are some pictures: is this natural yellowing? am I overanalyzing this bud again?

Got my plants in single DWC bucket. As can u see here : https://www.rollitup.org/auto-flowering-strains/794275-royal-ak-day-60-4-a-3.html
They was aprox 90cm tall. i did a bit of supercroping on tallest colas in the 2nd week of flowering.
I got lower smell in my grow room when RH was under 40%... And at end of flowering more than 40%RH in the growing place cn do bud root... so keep it low :D

Hey... I have no idea if anyone is still reading this but hey... I wasnt online for a while. I thought in case anyone cared to know that the grow is finished and that on average i got 120g/plant dry the biggest one came in at 6.3oz. taste and smell is great too! cant really tell what all the auto hate is about!

Thank you so much for updating this months later. Day 35 :d. If i average 120g a plant I'll shit my pants.
