Okay time for todays update. I went up there just a bit ago and took a few pics for ya. And most of the seedlings have broken the surface of the dirt.

Had to moisten the soil on a few of the plants

AK #1 - Broken through soil

AK #2 - Broken through soil

AK #3 - Broken through soil, slightly smaller then rest

AK #4 - Yet to surface

Aus Blue / Blueberry - Seem to have remained the same

Okay just went up there to check on the progress. The temps fell to around 51 degrees in the room last night so the insulation is going in for sure. The last of the ak's (#4) broke the surface last night. They are all about an inch tall right now. The Aussie Blue and Blueberry seem to have lifted up 1/4 inch each but the soil may have very well fallen that much from being watered lol. I'll post updated pics later on.

How much do you water them and what kind of pots? This is really pathetic, but I can never get my seeds to sprout above soil but they do have tap roots when I put them in.

Good luck. I just started my own journal so it will be fun to watch (non-competitively) other plants that started at a similar time. That light looks hot - I'm sure it will keep things warm. Although during the 12 hour cycle.... Maybe you'll need some insulating blankets? I wish there was a chart for approximate energy bill increases. 1000 watts, 12 hours a day might be hundreds of $ by the time you're done.

I water them very little, but it is important that you don't let the soil dry out ever in the seedling stage or it's r.i.p to your babies. 5 gal home depot buckets.

if you know how much you pay a kwh then you will know how much your bill will increase using 1000 watts...Plant Grow Lights, Indoor Hydroponic Systems, Supplies/Equipment - Best Prices, Products & Deliverythey have a chart there where you can see exactly how much a 1000 watt would put on your bill..

The Scale in the top right. Click it and hit approve for +Rep or Dissaprove for -Rep. Leave your reason, and people like it if you leave your name. and thats how to use rep. Haha. Thanks for help on watering, I'm just terrible with getting the right amounts of water. I'll +rep you for the help. Hahah

Todays updated pics, just taken. Moistened the soil while I was up there because lowering the light dried out the soil pretty quickly but not completely. R.I.P to the "Aussie Blue". It turns out it wasn't the blue that I thought I planted in the garden, I found that plant today, this was just some random bagseed and I wasn't having that. Dutch Passion Blueberry has her own pot now.

Okay just found a security system in one of my closets that I had forgotten about. It comes with 2 cams so it should be sweet in my growroom.
