hey Rak what is that material you used to wrap your ag? I think I may need to get some for my new bucket setup seems like it helped you a lot with your rez temps. hope all is going well.

looking good to me rak, seems like your ppms are a little low for half strength though. Are you using the 3 part gh series? If so and your leaf tips don't show any signs of burn,up your nutes a little more. I used the chart from the second post of this link. https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/200589-reliable-ppm-chart-marijuana.html to find a general idea of where my ppms should be. My girl didn't like a lot of nutes early on so I went with the lower end of the scale but now that she's flowering she's sucking them down. I think your good with the cal mag dosage since no further signs are showing which is great. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info on the reflectix, found some on amazon for 7 bucks that should provide me enough for my needs.

Yeah I'm using the three part GH series. On the bottle it calls for 1/4 tsp of each but I only gave the 1/8. I just want to be sure I don't overdo it like I did the last time. Tomorrow I will drain the res and up it to the 1/4 tsp to see how that does. As of now I see no signs of burn at all. The bigger plant is looking great, I think the smaller one has a bit of a developmental problem. If you remember from my OP it was growing upside down, and I had to flip it over. It hasn't been growing as fast as the bigger girl, and the leaves are more rounded instead of pointed. I will post some pics of it tonight when I get home. I'm not to worried about it, its just odd to see the rounded leaves and lack of growth. Shes a good 1-1 1/2 inches shorter than the bigger girl.

Update. Day 25 from seed.

Plants are looking good. I am going to start them on the veg diet of around 350PPM on the GH 3 series nutes. I will be doing this tonight. Here are a few pictures. Take a look at the rounded leaves on the smaller girl. Any ideas on why it would do this? The third picture is the smaller girl. You can't see the tips of the bigger leaves, but they are rounded as well.

Looks good and healthy. I don't remember mine being that nice of a green color. I'm harvesting next week I think. I'll let you know how she smokes.

Anyone know much about training the branches while the plants are young? Take a look at this video on an AK 47 grow in an aerogarden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBaqUXVDYd0. This guy is obviously training the limbs and trimming the extra foliage. Any tips? I will be searching the forum to see if I can find any. I only wish my plants looked like this :o

Thanks Markl! They are looking nice and very green. I just added a new nute diet as of last night. They now have 350ppm and they showed no signs of burning this morning. By the end of the weekend I may move it up to 450ppm depending on how much they eat over the next few days. They did eat some last night since the PH rose .5 and the PPM when down from 360 to 350ppm. Its amazing how much the roots have grown over the past two weeks. It looks insane inside of the res now.

Amazon prime just sent me a notification that your greenhouse is on sale for $10 cheaper. They are really twisting my arm to buy it. Those bastards. :cuss:

This greenhouse is working out great. We actually went and got another one. I have to start planting flowers for my wife. I don't mind. It looks like my girl is going to give me a good yield. I wont need to do a second grow for a while. It takes me a good 2-3 months to go through a quarter, so I think I'm going to get close to a years worth!

Sounds awesome! I'm hoping I get a quarter out of my plants! This lowryder breed is certainly low. They are only 6 inches tall at 27 days. Crazy small!

Hey all. I have noticed over the past 1 1/2 weeks that a lower set of leaves has begun to brown a bit. It doesn't look like classic nutrient burn. Any ideas on what this could be? I just started a heavier nutrient diet two nights ago, and have no signs of burn on the other leaves on both plants. Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

what is your light cycle if i were you i would let it run for 24hrs for about 2weeks then bring it down to 18/6 till ur ready to switch to 12/12 because these girls need as much light as possible . but so far they looking good

Update Day 33 or so. I've figured out the browning problems. I was using tap water for a few days and it must have had a higher nitrogen level. The plants didn't like that at all. I have switched back to my spring water and have kept the PH levels between 5.5 and 6.0. The old growth is a bit yellow and a few leaves began to brown. I removed two of the bad looking fan leaves. I know most people say to not do this, but they were practically dead. Now the nodes below them get a lot more light too. The plants are still looking good. Still pretty small at around 7 inches tall. It seems like they have grown a half an inch in the past two days. The nodes are also looking really good as well. I count around 9 nodes on one plant.

Last weekend I had the PPMs at 250 with spring water. The PPM is now down to 190. I will be flushing the res and adding nutes to 325PPM this time. Hopefully it goes good! It seems like the plants are eating, but not drinking to much. I add around 10 large PH'd down ice cubes a day, and I probably need to remove 8 oz of water every few days to keep the res at a good water level.

Over all the plants are looking good. They are progressing slower than most I have seen on this site, but they are only supposed to grow to 12-18 inches tall. I will post some pictures tonight. Happy growing!

Hey Sticky. My light cycle has always been at 20/4. They are autoflowering, so I should be able to keep them at that permanently. I did just take the hood off of my two lamps. I can now get the bulbs waaaaay closer to the plants. They seem to be enjoying it!

Update Day 37!

Plants are looking good! They are eating up the nutrients like crazy now. They have almost added 50% to their size since my last post. Finally I am seeing some real progress! I'm going to add a new nutrient solution tonight at around 350PPM. Hopefully they enjoy it. I have also notice that I now am having to PH up the water. I was always struggling to keep the PH down before. Have any of you experienced this? I have been still holding it stead between 5.5-6.0 and they seem to be loving it. I also added a Y split to my lamps and added two more CFL bulbs.

As of now I think this grow is going to be around a 80 day grow. I am going to let the plants tell me when they are done. Any thing to look at for when they are approaching the bloom phase? I have noticed more and more nodes appearing. They are now starting to grow out from under the fan leaves towards the lights.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment! They are starting to stink now too :weed:

Update day 43 from seed.

Hi everyone! Things are looking great over here in aerogarden land! I have been keeping the ladies on a nutrient diet between 350-400 and they have been loving it. They are sucking down the food and have started drinking a lot more water as well. They are really starting to explode! I need to raise the lamp around and inch a day. Absolutely awesome. Nodes everywhere too! If you've been following this thread then you know the "little girl" was stunted and was growing much slower than the "big girl" in the front of the AG. Well the "little girl" has now shown that I was completely wrong. She is around an inch taller than the "big girl" now. I guess the names don't really work anymore.

I couldn't be happier with how things have been progressing. Patients is truly needed when growing. For weeks they only grew a couple inches, but now........my god! An inch a day is more like it! Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure! These were taken yesterday. They are another inch taller as of this morning! Happy growing!

Looks great! Are those five gallon buckets you have them in? Very cool looking setup.

Any thoughts on when I should start using more Bloom Nutes? I have them on the GH aggressive veg nutes right now. I'm thinking of switching them over to bloom in around a week to ten days. Any thoughts?

Thanks rak, it's really up to you, if you have the room i'd say wait until she finish stretching if not go for the transitional dose and start bloom nutes she will stop growing taller somewhat and start focusing on flowering/budding due to the increase of pk nutes.
