AK47 SCroG

Hey RIU!! :fire:

I really haven't posted here in the past, but I have learned alot from this site, as well as others. I kept a growlog on another site, but I am not going to update it anymore as the site has been up and down recently and the userbase has shrunken dramatically.

This is my 4th grow, first time indoor, and first time with good genetics. AK47 seeds are from growers choice. I have 4 AK47 in a ScrOG with a 600 watt HPS and a DIY Carbon filter.

3 Cabinets. 1 cloneing, 1 veg, 1 flower, and a 2nd flowering cabinet in production. Trying to obtain a perpetual harvest, and do some tests with CFL's along the way

The dimensions for the flowering cab are:
H - 77 inches D - 35 inches W - 50 inches
Nutes are: General Hydroponics FloraGro, FloraMicro, and FloraBloom... Goal is 1lb dry, and I hear 1gram per watt is possible, but I don't think given my space....

3 AK's are female, 1 Male (gone) They showed sex at week 5 of their 7 week veg period. The male showed preflowers like a female. 1 is Sativa dominent for sure, 2 are definately Indica, and the other one appeared to be Indica early on, but now has some dominent Sativa traits... Hoping for the cherry pheno.

I have some NL in the oven for when the AK run is done...

Comments suggestions welcome!

Cool man,

Welcome to rollitup.
Im a cabinet guy too. SCROG grows, been using the cuttings from under the screen for the next grow and harvesting every two months for about a year. I have two cabs now and lookin into a third.

I been thinking about these autos, it will be good to see how it goes.

Awesome, do you find it's hard to clone them when you take them during flowering?

Which auto's are you considering a AK47 mix?

Cheers...

Not at all. When I started growing I read that you should only take cuttings in veg. Well I am the type of guy who needs to see things myself.

I took clones in veg, at two weeks flower, four weeks into flower and six weeks. They all rooted. What I found was the amount of time they were in flower was about the same amount of time it took for them to root.

Like the girls at six weeks took six weeks to re-veg and root. But they did root. So now I am looking at autos. (yea AK mix) I heard you couldnt clone them...

Awesome to hear, I have not tried it yet, I can barely clone in the best of conditions anyway lol.

The way I understand it is you cant clone Auto's because even if you did get it to root, it would only ever develop a tiny bud if anything because it's in the genetics to have a short life....

1 good seed run would fix that for a long time to come....

Quick update...

Last night I was training the new growth through the net, and I found the start of male flowers on the plant closest to the door. He's gone now, replaced with 3 NL - Unsure of the sex of the NL.

All 3 other AK47's 'are fems for sure.

Hey boys and girls!!

Just received my air cooled reflector today, and I just finished installing it! It dropped the temperature 10 degrees!

I have to get high now, but I will post pics in a bit!

Thanks mange for stopping by, attitude adustment was soooo good that I had another one. SCROG stand for SCREEN OF GREEN, much like SOG or SEA OF GREEN. You train the branches through a screen so the buds are even and you can increase your yeild by this method.

Thanks alot man!

I dont top the plants as they are getting trained through the screen. I just pull the new growth through the screen as it comes up.... I did FIM earlier in VEG though, so I do have some extra tops ;)

Thanks for stopping by!

Looking amazing so far. I also partake in the cabinet scrog. I only have room for one cab right now, and heat is always an issue w/ a 250W HPS in there, but I've managed close to 8oz's w/ one plant. I just started 2 auto AK47's and a blue widow, along with a couple mystery bagseeds (picked from some unknown chron). I'll definitely keep up w/ this grow, and probably be starting a journal if you're interested in comparing the auto scrog.
