Hey Dr. Dave - I just got the feminized AK48 seeds from Nirvana.

Your 200w CFL could be fine but it really depends on your setup and what you're looking to get out of the grow. Unfortunately there's no one right answer. The absolute best advice I can give you is to just keep reading around the boards and do what most people do when they're starting out... copy somebody else who is successful. Once you get the hang of it you can adjust things to your liking. I know there are a bunch of CFL growers out there. I almost went that way myself. As you read the other posts keep in mind what your limitations are and your setup will build itself. I take notes as I read other people's posts and apply it to my situation.

Good luck man. Have fun with it!

Here we go with week 11 total and the 4th week of flowering.

Things are moving along quite nicely. We're about 3 weeks away from harvest!

Allegedly of course...

This is what we've got at the 12th week since seed and 5th week of flowering. I cut out the nutes and I'm just using pH'd water from here on in. Wish me luck!

Allegedly of course :)

This is my first go-round with the Autopots so I'm going to try it this way and see how it goes. The tricky thing with the Autopots is that they have no way of draining them other than disassembling them and pulling them out completely. It's not a huge deal but it's a pain in the ass. I washed out the reservoir so that's clean.

Oh, and I also ran out of the nutes that came with the package deal from futuregarden.com haha

Harvest is done and the buds are dry.

I weighed the buds from each plant and this is what I got:

Plant #1: 5 grams
Plant #2: 21 grams
Plant #3: 4 grams
Plant #4: 32 grams

Total of 62 grams or 2.2 ounces. Not bad.

I also going to use the trim and sugar leaves to make butter. The first batch of butter I made from Plant #1 with the crock pot method. The trim included some stem material and a lot of leaf. I used the Betty Crocker instant cookie mix that takes 1/2 cup of butter and three cookies had me fucked up for 8 hours... Allegedly. I don't smoke so I'm a bad test subject. The rest of the trim is all sugar leaves so that'll hopefully be stronger.

I estimated my total cost at around $1000 for everything. Out of that I'd say 90% of that was for materials I'll reuse. (Paint, 2x4s, plywood, , light fixture, bulbs, AutoPot kit, coir, germination kit)
