its an easy grower, huge yielder, very nice head high for a few minutes and then it goes into a body stone. ak48 is not at all a good tasting bud, i cured mines for two months and then the taste was much better than with a week or two of curing. She does not give much smell throughout flowering so was not an issue with me at all. i ended up with 8oz from one plant in a 4 gallon dwc container. as far as food she eats anything, i was using peters hydroponic nutrients along with some calcium nitrate. the buds fill in nicely and are tight, the only bad thing i have to say about ak48 is the lack of good taste, other than that i would recommend it to anyone who would like a clear head high for daytime.

It doesnt smell during flowering?! You obviously didn't grow AK48,no offense but it's probably one of the strongest smelling strains you can buy.
It grows stupidly fast,takes alot of nutes well,starts off primarily indica and when it flowers it gets alot more sativa looking. Stretch is about 2 - 2.5 times original size. Takes topping well too.
I grow it on the regular,it's my favourite and only strain now,and if you believe someone saying it doesn't smell youre gonna get into serious trouble.
Ignore the 48 day thing too,I harvested at 52 days from the actual onset of flower and would've given it another week.
Do watch out for mould tho,the tops get fat,I lost two ounces of prime cola last time cos they were so dense and had mould on the inside.
Awesome for a 8-9 week Sativa Dom.

My AK48 was from Nirvana. Very smelly and stretched like crazy when flipped to 12/12. I put them through hell and back and still got 27oz of 16 plants. Would defo grow this again. Very stong smoke. Knockout stuff

JUst ordered 5 fem AK48s and 5 Master Kush fem from NIRVANA as well, starting my grow on the 22nd and will be doing a journal. I've heard nothing but good things about the strain so we'll see how she does.

This is my last AK48 grow, wouldve vegged longer than 3-4 weeks from seed, wouldve given them more nutes too, they were a little deficient the whole way, was just paranoid going from organic to synthetic, rathered a deficiency than burning.
So what Im trying to say is this grow round I reckon these plants have alot more to give.
Anyways day 51 flower, 5 AK48's under a 600w HPS. Harvested the following day. Got about 10 ounces dry, but I had mold problems with some, ventilation system was shutting off at night and I hadnt copped it
EDIT: Wouldve given them another 2ish weeks of flower too, they werent ready.
So what Im trying to say is this grow round I reckon these plants have alot more to give.

I was hitting them with the full dose of feed after the first week of flower and I was doing water water feed,but as I said they were a little deficient so this time I'm gonna up the frequency and see how they react.
They will ANNIHILATE all the N they have for the first 2 weeks of flower, this time I'm gonna try a 50/50 mix of grow and bloom nutes while they stretch (think it works out around 5-5-6) and when the stretch is over change to straight bloom feed (2-4-4).
Theyre an awesome strain,got 6 seedlings 2 days old and can't wait for them to get big!
If you've any other questions about the 48 shoot and I'll try answer, they like being topped actually.
Rambling a bit,but it's what the 48 does! Peace.

From what I gathered from a random seed that I had that I believe was ak-47 or 48. Be sure to veg it as big as you want it, cause when you flower they don't really grow too much bigger. Thats at least in my experience.
