Alcohol vs Non Alcohol Methods of Making Vape Juice

I typically see two methods of making cannabis vape juices. I see the high grain alcohol method that seems newer and I see another method of just boiling down the cannabis in a vg/pg mix. I can't seem to find the pros and cons of each of these methods or which works better and why. Can someone spell this all out for me?

I've tried the latter version twice and the end result lacks potency by a lot when comparing to Absolute Xtracts or King Pen. I'd like a highly potent product. I can typically take two hits off of a vape cartridge I've purchased vs 10 off of the cartridge that I've created myself before getting anywhere close to the same effect. Any advice is appreciated.

Did you ever find out more information? I'm looking into all of this and would love to hear you opinion if you're still about.

Making a smokable product requires you to make sure that you're NOT stripping any chlorophyll with the solvent.
That involves freezing the weed and the alcohol so that any water in the material is frozen.
You want to keep it as cold as possible while you're doing the wash(short washes have less chance of getting green).
Then you can evaporate the alcohol and use the shatter as you wish.

Thanks for the link, I've been reading up on the dry ice QWET method and it looks awesome! Very keen to give it a go!
