I have been treated unfairly by police before. White cops and me, a white guy. Arrested for a dwi despite blowing a 0.0, not failing any sobriety tests, and no drugs or paraphernalia found on me or in my car. The cop said he just had a feeling I was intoxicated.
heard that exact same story from bignbushy!

Ok so my math is off where i put the decimal point, the amperage of standard issue police stun guns is 4/10th of an amp up to 1/2 an amp which is enough to kill ,especially if the darts cross the heart , an amperage of 2/10th an amp is sufficient to take a person off their feet but police use just under the amperage catagorized as lethal.

If they shoot you with a tazer and you live the recovery time is much faster than if they shoot you with a gun.

But yes, I think tazers are used too much.
Thats the logical line of thought & kind of hard to argue with the point you made except for one issue , what about citizens with heart issues or central nervous system disorders , too many people have been killed by police tazers for them to be considered a non lethal weapon , the public cant buy tazers with the same amperage as law enforcement & if caught with such high amperage tazer or stun gun we'd be charged with a deadly weapon charge.

They ramped them up years ago when they went from pain compliance tasers, to a stonger taser that disrupts the central nervous system and drops you regardless how well you handle pain.

With a weaker taser, if you start tasing a suspect and they come at you still, odds are they are gonna get shot and killed. Considering that, could the stronger tasers be saving lives?
When did pepper spray become useless & the tazer become the 1st line of defense ?

Considering the majority of people tazed are not actually charging at the cop & is more likely being tazed for "resisting" or not complying with police commands pepper spray would work just as well & be a much safer alternative .

Using a lower amperage shock is another alternative to allowing our police to electrocute citizens with amperages just a fraction below whats considered to be a lethal shock.

The thing that gets me the worst about modern cops is how they play up their safety to the public vs our safety.

Telling people to get over a cop being rude and stupid to them is racist?
are you being purposely obtuse now?

or is the same stupidity that brings us your racism also bringing us this complete lack of understanding of your own words and actions?

Many of the posts I read were about cops being rude to them... Yes, if a cop is being rude to you, you should get over it no matter what color you are. Trying to cause shit with the cop will cause an annoying situation to go downhill really fast.

Ask a cop. They don't want it to drift into their eyes/lungs. Much easier to either just shoot them, or tase them til they shit themselves. Like you said, its about their safety, not the publics. Remember Columbine? Yeah, too dangerous to go in, lets just watch from here.

But I agree. If you've tried both taser and pepper spray, you'll take the taser every time. Just drift a small amount their way, and after they start puking and their eyes burn like hell, ask them if they want a direct shot. Pretty sure they are gonna cuff up like a good suspect should.
