~All Info On Portable A.C Units!!!~Growing With Them!

Ok,Ima buy one of those portable AC units from Home Depot for like 150 bucks..but,Ive read that having a portable A.C by your plants is bad for them..what if I lower the setting to the lowest possible..will this act like an air exhaust...I guess my question is:

1.Who actaully uses a portable A.C to cool the grow room...without having no ducting or aircooled reflectors?

2.Will it make the grow room too cold?

3.Can I leave an AC in there,and seal the room..meaning no air intake or exhaust..just the A.C "recycling"the air?

hi,i have a portable ac unit in my grow room and it has helped alot with high temps.i paid closer to $400 for mine,but i'm canadian,ey . my reflectors aren't air cooled,but i do have the portable ac unit vented outside.(it came with hoses that you put out the window) also,i do have intake and exhaust. as far as making your room too cold,just keep a close eye.with the cold weather coming at night,i usually have to turn it off after supper and back on by lunchtime the next day.not sure if i've helped,hopefully maybe i'm just a stoner! i'm harvesting at the moment good luck with your grow! xoxo

mine is vented outside too.. we use ours for our motorhome... But it still has to vent out the window..

There needs to be a OUTSIDE source to vent it ..IE . a window or duct it into an Attic or crawlspace and add on to an outside source ... DONT just let the hot air run into a closed space .. its all moisture

The ac's hot air that is vented out the window will smell. And no you cannot put a carbon filter on the end of the exhaust hose of the ac becuz the temp of the air is to hot and will deactivate the carbon.
