Am I flowering?

...or are these just more fan leaves and nodes? (The white cotton things are pipe cleaners used to train the plants)

It looks like pre-flowers at the nodes.
Girlie or dude you think? Too early to tell? My first time around so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. Also, I am 1 topping away from having my mainline "manifold" complete which I was going to do in the next few days...is it still ok to keep training or should I stop and let them do their thing now?

Definitely female. Probably showing sex because main lining is stressful. Some strains like skunk show calyxes at the nodes before flower.

definitely stop if you are in flower, if you are NOT in flower, then go ahead and finish manifolding.
but she looks to be in flower. so personally i wouldnt do any more training like that. go with scrog or LST.

I am in 18/6 still, not trying to flower as I wanted to top once more for 8 tops total. This is COOL! I got these out of a bag of Gelato buds I bought...I also have one Blue Cookie (also from a seed in buds) and I think that is showing the same thing...I was scared these would all be males! Is it safe to assume that all of the seeds from the same nug would be fem? I have 5 Gelatos...

The seeds will be 'regular' mixed sex unless the pollen came from a hermaphrodite female plant which produced a male flower.

That's why I always check buds GIFTED to me. I scored on GSG ( Girl Scout glue ) last year .... Grew them out - sprayed STS and selfed that bitch .

Ended up with beans.

Nice

I crossed a GSC with a vigorous, high yielding Thai Stick Male last fall and have been pheno hunting like crazy! Best one so far is fast finisher chunky single cola top to bottom 12/12 from seed. Fun stuffbongsmilie

It's nice to know others are trying some of the same genetics.

Grow on!

Imho, looks like male preflowers to me. Your preflowers look like balls to me, and dont have a white pistil coming through. My moneys on a male. Time will tell. Good luck man

If you look closely they are comletely closed. Just saying if i had to bet, its a male. Like i said time will tell. Cant really tell by a picture without knowing its age. Still if had a gun to my head and the picture was all i had to go on its a male. Peace dude and only good vibes with an honest opinion coming your way

Great vibes to you too! :leaf:

We are all working together here on RIU

I'm just trying to clear out any misinformation so that new growers can better understand the anatomy of the cannabis plant. I wouldn't be confident like that if I wasn't sure.

I respect your opinion and I am not going to try to make you believe anything. Just spreading accurate info from personal experience and mounds of research.

I understand how the pic could look confusing.

No worries from 207

Good eyes man I didnt see them in the 2nd its very blury. Although i do think time will tell doesnt rule out homaphrodite, but i do stand corrected. Point taken sir

Hey it's all good, I wasn't intending to be pushy. We are all a team and you're right, there's no saying it couldn't grow male flowers. I had a light leak recently and will admit I pulled a couple of plants 1 week early to avoid pollen from the male flowers that started forming. Luckily the pheno was a fast finisher to begin with! Rock solid.

It happens sometimes whether by genetic shortcoming or environmental cause.

Sorry to veer off topic,

Happy growing all :leaf:
