I wasn't insulting you or talking shit. I was agreeing with you! Lol. Fuck what people say ya know?... not everyone has an unlimited budget for lights... some of us have to be adults and pay our other bills and for our kids to grow up healthy. All I can say to those that down these more inexpensive lights is SUCK A FAT DICK! I'm lucky enough to be able to afford what I can haha
Holy moly.
I think maybe what they might be trying to say is, if you're gonna go LED, get good ones. Otherwise you'll be better off with CFL/HID?

And if you couldn't care less what anyone thinks, it's a fckn weird move to ask for opinions on a forum. Just my thoughts.

Might be surprised lol - power outage at my buddy's place last summer. I could smell his 2x4 from the curb! :P
As long as it's not an issue - revel in it! lol

We're all in a situation where things aren't as rosy as they once were.

Doesn't mean people are all of a sudden problematic when they call shit, shit.

If someone says "I'm growing with this $400 lamp that is equivalent to a 1kW HPS", I'll merrily state "it's a piece of shit, get better lighting, and do some research next time".

Tell me to suck a fat dick all you want... what I know is that I'll be smoking quality while you're smoking airy nothingness.

(I know you weren't speaking to me, but what I've said stands across the board).

Thats where you're very wrong buddy... i simply asked if I was missing anything.. i didn't ask for opinions on lighting... maybe reread the thread title and original post?

I didnt ask what lights were better than others...

Like i said where I am the smell isn't of any concern. Worst case scenario I upgrade to the 6 inch inline fan as we spoke about and throw in some ducting and a filter setup

The ts600 will be okay for one plant as long as it doesn't get too wide. Max coverage is 2x2. They recommend a tsw2000 (305w) for their 3x3.
Perfect... thats all I need it for! Besides.. ive seen people growing with spiral CFL bulbs so im sure ill make it work :lol:

It's frustrating to spend money on an item and get lower performance than advertised.
Advertisements only change when sales numbers change - spectrum was the hot button a few months ago, now it's round PAR maps.
Statements like "that light sucks" or "ripoff" are just not helpful in decision making with out the "why".

Maybe something a bit less of a blanket statement - like my VA-1200
Instead of "Chinese crap", maybe something realistic like:

265 real watts (not 1200), Grows plants well, lights 1/4 - 1/6th of a 4x4 through flowering.
Would suggest buying 4 - 6 total for corner to corner canopy penetration if you want them; but at that price, you can get the insertyourfaveLighthere for the same price and coverage....

Point being - WHY this or that light may be inappropriate is more helpful than, "Sux bro".
