Am i ready to start flowering?

Hi everyone, ive had a look around the site, and i read that branches need to be alternating, mine arent doing that, however i worry if it grows 2/3 times its size as some say it does.
Im adding a picture, with a lighter to give it some scale.
The police turning up at my house recently wanting to search the house for clothes coverd in white paint did not help the cause! By chance, i was asleep and the light was not on, and the room did not smell and i was able to move them out pretty quickly.
I know their females if that helps, this is my first grow, and ive learnt so much allready, but ive still got far to go!
Thanks in advance

And if you have any comments to advise me, i will be most greatful :)

if you are comfortable with the height, you can put them into flower at your discretion.Whats the height now,and how big you looking to get?

Their about 2 foot high at the momment, someone told me im being greedy vegging for too long! What are the advantages to vegging for longer, apart from the obvious? sorry i didnt mean to sound like an idiot!

they look good, but they are going to get 2 to 3 times bigger than they are now depending on the strain.

You should look at LST- Low Stress Training...

Your good to go to flower now if you have the room.

true that,if you've got room,go 12/12,you wont be disappointed. The advantages of growing longer are bigger size, thus more yield.Given that I live where a patient can only have 6 plants,I grow mine for a long time ,some of my sativas are 5-6 feet when they go to flower,so its all up to you.

Im definately going to look into that low stress training thanks!!! Luvvin, do i keep my plants in the dark now for 48 hours, or would you go straight into 12/12?
Ive got that canna terres flowering nutrients do i need anything else? ive heard of a booster for the 5th week for hydroponics, is there somthing simular for soil?
Oh and im thinking of renting a room in a house to get them away from here, i assume im better if i get my grow tent up? Im growing in my girlfriends room at the momment and i dont have the guts to errect a 6ft tent! im thinking this would be good to get an extractor fan fitted with a charcoal thing, im also assuming that when their budding is when they will smell more.

I induce non showing plants with 72 hours of dark to induce flowering, then go to 12/12.As far as nutes I use Fox Farms Open Sesame,Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching throughout the flowering phase of growth,as well as they're nutrient lineup.

yes it will give the lower branches a chance to catch up and keep you canpoy more level, should get 2 main colas also

AS it stands, you have not topped the plant so you get one pain cola. If you cut the main stalk about 3 nodes down from your top, it creates double the previous number of colas. I always top mine once, after the 2nd cola and end up with two. I also pick off the scraggly buds at the base of the cola, as the plant will focus that attention adding to the main cola instead of worthless buds nobody gives a shit about.

I would cut them as I said, veg for one more week to develop the cola bases then start 12/12.

Right now you're going to end up with 5-6' plants if you don't top. If you do, more than likely will finish about 3' with 12" buds.

Im really sorry, i went up to my plants just now with the intention of topping them but i just cant, sorry its my first grow, their my babies, my book says do it, you say do it, but i cant bring myself round to it.
I wish i knew a grower who could help me, i just cant do it!!!!!

If they do get to 5/6ft is there a way i can stop them getting taller?
i think i can handle 5ft but not 6.

thanks

Plants tripple in height when they flower also I've been told, can you deal with a 15 foot plant?

I doubt it'll hit 15ft indoors. I would go ahead and flower now, though, because if it gets too tall, you're gonna have a problem with light penetration. As it is, she'll be between four to six feet I think, if you flower now. There is no need to have a dark period prior to flowering - this can stress your plants. Just switch right to 12/12.

Nah, it isn't going to grow to 15' indoors. It will probably get around the ceiling and quit.

He's going to lose 30% finish weight by not topping it and adding a week.
