Am I supposed to put under light right away or wait 'til sprout?

Because I put the seeds in the soil and than under 400hps 16/8 lights right away. It's been 2 days but I am just wondering if I did right. Also, just got a therm and it says 95 degrees ... oops! Got it down to 85 now but was that a major fuck up or am I alright for now?

as long as you didnt burn it up then just keep lowering the temps and let it grow. i usually let my sprouts adjust to the lights.
