i can totally understand the age thing here on riu.. we all know that growing is illegal for most of us, but being over 18, we are able to make that choice to break whatever laws we want to..
not only that, but i think having too many kids running around on the site may bring down the respect and maturity level here.. i am sure that many people over 18 may act and talk like they aren't, and i'm sure that we have our fair share of under 18er's on here, but by acting and talking maturely, they go unnoticed by the majority of us..

Welcome to RIU! you should probably start a new thread rather than post your question in a very old one. maybe start a journal so you can ask questions there. Anyway, it depends on your growing style, in soil you give them nutes when have their first set of multi-bladed leaves. usually the second set after the cotyledons. once it starts working on the next set, start them on 1/4 strength Grow Big.
