No, bad genetics can cause male flowers.

"if i am getting some male flowers on my buds is that a sign to harvest or is it stress related?"

full plant pics cant really happen due to space, but here are a couple of the main buds starting to show male flowers. When you look closely, the areas with male flowers still have most of the white pistils still. I wonder if them staying white may have been casued by energy being used to produce the male flowers instead of converting and dieing. I mean what good is producing male flowers if the plant doesnt keep some pistils active and ready for pollination.

I realize now why everything looks so much better under an HPS. The flouro tubes just didnt cut it. I should have listened but i was being cheap... I will def be getting one before my next grow. i am assuming that may have helped contribute to the male flowers

Mate, I don't think they look bad ;)
Yeah, light intensity plays a huge part in ripening and how tight those little nugs get. The more the better, as long as you can maintain 78 degrees your nugs should not stretch out (airbuds)
If you are not comfortable with removing nanas I would consider taking them down as long as you have mostly milky trics.
Good luck bro!

thing is some strains react diferently to others. Including nute tolerances. Bad genetics = male flowers and nute sensitivity .......EG
