First off, I used to be bigherb420, but I had difficulties with that e-mail and ended up just making a new account. Still a newbie either way lol. But this will be my first grow.

Strain; Amnesia Haze Clone(Unknown Breeder).
Lights; (6) 23w CFL 6500k for veg
Soil; Pro-Mix Organic Soil
Age; I would say a week or two?

I got this clone from a buddy today for $20. His roommate grows, not sure who he is though lol glad I got the clone on the other hand.
The clone looks pretty healthy except for the bottom set of leaves, there's a little tip burn.

Any tips or advice for this strain or just in general would be greatly appreciated!

Picture time!

So it's been about 30-45 minutes since I got home with the clone, and transplanted into the 5 gallon bucket, and its already going limp :(. Is this in shock or what?

Too hot temp wise. Is the clone rooted? If not, it only needs one bulb and a dome over it. Mist the dome and place over plant for 12 hours. Then take off for a min, and replace dome. Repeat for at least a week.

Your high temps are causing the plant to transpire too much. The lack of roots makes the plant run out of water.

Too much light will signal to the plant to photosynthesize. Photosynthesizing makes the plant give up the oxygen atom in H20 .

PLant only needs minimal light until about a week in.

The roots go down about 4-5 inches, it's got a decent root system already. So what should I do to try to fix my temp? Turn off some of the lights?

If it has a root system, then it may just be transpiring to fast. A plant that size really only needs 2 bulbs. Remove the side lighting, so it can get some cross flow of air.

CFLs create heat. removing some should lower temp a bit.

Make sure soil is not dryed out.

That plant is stretched. You will need to watch and make sure it doesnt tip over completely.

Check the plant in an hour, after you remove the lights, for improvement.

Took off the side lights. I stuck my finger down in the soil and its still pretty moist, I had dirt on my finger when I pulled it out (that's the trick right?).

I'll keep an eye on it and post up another picture in an hour or so to see hows it's doing.

Thanks a lot for your help man, I really appreciate it.

EDIT; Wrong picture.

Temps are already lowering in the bucket (the big number is the temp. in the bucket). And I can see her start to lift up a little bit already!

Topping with Light stress training. Let her grow healthy for 2 weeks and then top her. Then LST. Then you can keep most of your lights above her.

Blow a fan directly between the lights and canopy ( Not now) and all the heat from lamps will be directing away from tops.

It is a simple idea really.

After the plant is topped (removing the main shoot), The secondary branches grow out. After they grow out a bit, you tie them down to the edge of the pot. The goal is to even out the canopy, trying to get all tops level with eachother. Then all the growth tips grow about the same pace.

You keep the plant short, so that you can get as much light as possible to every leaf. Especially with CFLs and T5s, you need the plant to be short.

Shoots start growing out of the secondary branches, and when they are close to even with the canopy, flip to flower mode.

More light to leaf = more energy = more bud

She's starting to erect a little bit.

When I got the clone, the dude who gave it to me had it under 12/12 already. I think this are pistils coming out, at least thats what they look like to me. Can any one confirm?
