Amsterdam Cannabis Cup 2012

I tried some of that isolator last time I was there,I paid 30 euros for a gram in the dampkring it was really nice,they had some there 120 euro a gram which I bet is pretty awesome. And as for cured weed good luck on that one,they look at you daft when you ask for it,(it's not on the menus either).

dude im not getting shit at the coffee shops its at the cannabis cup from what i have heard the breeders have there booths were you buy samples to judge they have there one or two strains they enter and have worked the whole year for it so they have a bunch thats been cured for months in advance for the cup. Your just not really picking up what im laying down are you there bud. Im not talking about walking around to coffee shops and all that im talking about buying shit at the venue of the cup.

Yeah i have talked to a few people that have been there think about it these breeders know what they are going to enter into the cup long before the cup arrives what do you guys think these breeders two weeks before the cup decide ok im gonna enter this plant thats almost finished so it will dry in time for the cup. No thats not how it works these samples and what not of the strains they have grown that are entering were grown months in advance and stuck in a jar. im not saying all the breeders cure there shit for a year but a good portion of the serious companies have there shit cured for months ive heard this from breeders that went to the cup and people. Yeah you know what a cup win does for some of these companies its not like it used to be alot of money is involved and its like whoever throws out the most money for the big partys is going to win. You have never heard of people curing there weed a year bryn wow you guys got some reading and research to do. i let my bud cure like a few months and its always better than when its fresh dried. I will say tho some strains keep better than others. I heard Subcool on weed nerd talking about some cheesequake that he had cured a year. If you dont know who subcool is then you really really need to do some more research. Its like this guys last year no one knew who Rare Darkness genetics was unless you were really in the loop and you knew someone in Colorado. They take home a few Cups and some high THC strains and there seeds sell out and no one knows who they are. Thats what the cup can do for a seed company. So do i think a good portion of these breeders jar there stuff months and months in advanced hell yes. Im not talking about the coffee shops im talking about the breeders. Barnys Farm, Green House seeds, DNA, etc you know what im saying.

If you think the weed in the coffee shops is shit your either fuckin deluded or you have never been to Amsterdam and talkin fuckin shit. Some coffee shops sell shit but that's mainly around red light area where all the dumb fuck tourists go,and as for researching the cup you want to take Bryns advise and look up that bust from last year,some guy bought a gram of each entry and had to smoke the lot there and then he said he was 2000 dollars down. And as for the curing they must have some fuckin glass jars as thousands go to Amsterdam for the cup. Have they got a category for cured weed?

For sure this one should be big since its the 25th cup and the way it looks the last one in amsterdam cause of there unfriendly governments views on cannabis and tourism. If the country sees a big decline in the tourism industry from the ban which they should cause a good bit of people go to amsterdam just for that reason. Goddamn hot magazine saleswomen just showed up at the door with her tits hanging out didnt buy any mags cause they didnt have no skunk, weed world, cannabis culture, or hightimes mags. The dutch government will see how much the ban affects tourism income and they will change there minds hopefully but maybe not.

well im in the middle of looking for the best priced package but they all coming in around 300 quid mark excluding judges passes and transfers, was thinking of "rail and sailing" it and finding sumwer when out there but not been during cup time so dont know if it'd be rammed and me and the mrs be on the streets and bridges with the crack heads all night, eek gulp!.... by the time we get train from swansea to london it pretty much equates to the price of package inc. flight and accomodation.... no brainer!!!! am deffo up for a smoke off too, @ the cannabis cup, i only joined this site tonight, primarily to comment on this post as its what came up in google when i typed 'cannabis cup forums' to find out more about it. first persons comment i see is a fellow welshman's and he's even from the same football team as me.... hee hee!!!! not sure if he a season ticket holder yet but sure ill find out in time... welsh stoner????? lol.

Megabus do a service to Amsterdam for cheap. National Express will do it for £50 return from London. It's £4-£12 to get a coach from Bristol to London so I imagine it's about the same from Wales.

OMG I just checked and it's £7 Swansea-London. 5 hour journey though, but if you get baked before you leave and have friends and munch it will be fun. Also, the bus will be pretty empty. Trains to Amsterdam from London are around £100 but if you can handle another bus journey it is only £12-£15

It's a road trip, make an adventure of it. Better than being stuck on a plane for the same duration, and if you have a laptop to keep you busy, the bus has power outlets and free Wi Fi

Also GO CAMPING.

Fuck the hostels, they are expensive. I had the time of my life in a campsite full of stoners with a special mini supermarket literally 10 paces from us with a neverending supply of smoking paraphernalia.

Sod bus journeys lol. My flgihts to amsterdam were not that expensive last time i went, and now that i actually have a job and am not peniless and on bail, i'll jut pay the extra £20 and fly there Then just get a bus or train from the airport into the city. With all luck i should be A ok to visit come cup time Know that the cup just makes it an almost inferior experience, but it's something stoners should do once i guess.

yes mate ive got season ticket im up by the lune with the drum,in fact 4 of us are and we got a scummer coming too(he the entertainment lol)

pmsl, where you gonna be staying dude, im thinking of boking onto that Botel thing, summin different or the Blue ????? Hotel and the Hemm (cheap and nasty by the look of the reviews). Im in the south/family stand m8, take the 12 year old daughter every week and my 21 year old son, neither of whom are coming to the cup with me btw but they were both young uns when we bought the season ticket and ive kept same seats since, not missed a game for 3 and half years and been to a few away games too, most memorably, Wembley and QPR (1st game this season)... you gonna be there for opening ceremony on the sun? i was planning to go on the early monday morning flight from bristol?????

Nor mate we won't make opening ceremony we got that first flight from Bristol on the Monday lol. We had booked a hotel above a coffee shop,but they changed it to a hostel so we booked a apartment in the Leidseplein area instead,it worked out cheaper to.

think we're on the same flight en dude, see ya at the airport.... i be wearing a swans top, aint decided on home or away yet, and my mrs about 4 ft 2 so wont miss us pmsl. the smoke off is ON!!!!!!!
