Bump for this great question. AN suggests a myriad of products. I call bullshit on that. I am considering a switch to AN due to the fact that they are designed for the reefer.

The AN 3-part was copied from GH and a number of other nutrient companies use the same NPK ratios in their 3 parts as well. If a product is 'cannabis specific', that's a good sign that it's a ripoff and I highly doubt the original recipe created by GH was intended for cannabis. It actually doesn't matter if it was or not as cannabis doesn't have any unique nutritional requirements.

I am actually in the process of changing my nutes from Advance MGB + BB powder, Honestly I didn't see that great of results at all! I've used them for muliple grows now and really their nothing special at all except a high price tag,

I am looking into FF or Jack's.

I use Sensi line right now, if I was looking to change based on cost, I'd probably go with the CNS17 line from botanicare....

Ill be starting another round in a few weeks. I found the AN GMB line cheap on Ebay. I also grabbed sample size bottles of VooDoo Juice and Bud Candy. Ill be doing a side by side comparison with the FF line up.

People bitch about the cost, but it isnt like your blowing through the nutes. (Unless you have a big resivoir) A little can go along way... in soil..

Grow-Micro-Bloom is the best base nutrient out there, but I really like Sensi A&B too.

I'm sure there are other cheaper nutes to use, but I'm not sure they're as effective as using the good ones. At least, that's been my experience.

With Grow-Micro-Bloom, you get that bacteria that you need, as well as something for the Grow and Bloom periods. It's really a good all-in-one product, and you don't have to add other products if you don't want to.

Then again, I found it was a slippery slope with AN. Once I used a few products, then I wanted to use more...and more. :)

Keep it simple and stick to the basics.
Grow micro bloom is enough to grow good pot.
Alot of people dont use additives. I would recomend voodoo and koolbloom dry.
Just give them what they need

This great advice except for that I personally do see a difference in weight when I use additives. YMMV.

VooDoo Juice is... just... AWESOME!!!!!!!! I can't afford it right now but when I had it it increased weight dramatically.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BACTERIA.

I have priahna and tarantula right now (the old powdered formula) and I can see a tiny difference in growth but i don't know if it's with what I paid.

I'm gonna pick up the new liquid formulas soon as they seem more cost effective.

Look, Big bud and Overdrive is great stuff too.

You don't need all this stuff for a great harvest but, sometimes these products are not about increasing weight but increasing resin and THC.

I think a lot of people don't realize that you can add ALL kinds of additives to your soil but it won't be effective if you don't have the right bacteria growing to process it or help process it.

Some people use additives and get no results then think additives don't work.

But in a healthy soil environment that is teaming with life your expensive additives REALLY GO TO WORK.
