AN sensi a/b vs AN grow/bloom/micro

Why don't you try posting some pictures of some plants near harvest? Lets have an apples to apples comparison here to see what your overpriced water can produce over 'cheap nutes'.
It's pretty clear, at least to me, that this is his first rodeo. He hasn't ever seen a harvest, hence no bud pics.

Seems all too proud to show off his indoor trees that only a noob would grow and the $1000+ of mostly water sitting on a shelf.

None of you people have it figured out. All you wanna do is down everything & everyone that posts anything regardless of who or what they represent. Me I started at the Genesee Country Compassion club in 2009 helping people achieve their goals. Not downing everything and everyone. Good luck being better than anything & anyone.

Blah blah blah, post some nugget pics like HB did, twice.

Nice game you got going here: come in tooting your own horn as loudly as possible, divert the topic when called out on your BS, then play the victim. Bravo!

Sorry I don't stoop to those levels.
What level is that, bawse?

All HB and I want are some bud pics. I mean, this amazing AN shit has got to make the most amazing buds EVER considering how much money you've spent on the stuff and the time you spend shilling for it in this thread, right? Why are you so afraid to show off the finished product? Do you even have a finished product to show off?

Hey thanks for the unbiased opinion...Have you used them? While i agree they are expensive, and there are other options than can produce the same..they aren't exactly "run of the mill".

Just because one owner of a company get's accused of child molestation that means the whole company gets a bad reputation?..which if you look at most AN Hate threads is where it comes from. Wish people had that attitude toward shit that mattered, like government..but we'll let them steal, lie, rape, kill..but NOOOO! NOT A NUTE MANUFACTURER!

OP. good luck getting any unbiased AN info.
My opinion, is that yes, advanced nutrients works... but so does general organics/hydroponics, cyco, & vegamatrix.
My issue, is with the billion and one WORTHLESS additives they (&most others) sell. Im sorry, but NOBODY could tell the difference - (visually or smoke-test wise) between the 2 plants grown with terpinator & a few other "bells and whistles" AN additives, in addition to the standard grow, bloom, Calmag, pk booster nutes that they were all getting. Thankfully we didnt pay for it, but scored it free at a trade show.
I prefer cyco for coco dwc but I only use their grow (a&b) bloom (a&b) & their potash booster - occasionally calmag if theyr asking for it. Oh - and mykos at germination (in the damp paper towel) & transplant (in the dirt). Maybe Im just lucky... but im pulling 0.8-1.2grams/watt, without all the extra, expinsive nutrient add-ons.
If Im growing organic, in soil, I use Fox Farms Ocean Forest mixed 4-1 with perlite. Mykos used same as above. I prefer the Vegamatrix line for soil, but again - I only use the grow, bloom & booster. Maybe its the soil, maybe the strain, or both - but I just dont seem to have CalMag issues regularly, & I often do fine without it. Def keep it on hand, though. In short - especially if youre new, I recommend just sticking with a company's "grow, bloom, boost" basic nutes, so you can get an idea if what your baseline is, & can use that baseline to help guide you in nute decisions for future grows. Best of luck! ✌

Kristoff, is like to ask after using the micro, grow and bloom from one company, let’s say GH. Do you think adding silicate, enzymes and calmag from different companies will hurt my plant that’ll be in a dwc?
Thank you for your time

No. Just watch the nitrogen content in your cal mag... I rec reducing your “grow” fertilizer a tad after adding cal mag, so u dont overdo the nitrogen, but other than that... you can absolutely mix and match companies nutes :)

just take care that youre mixing them in the proper order - ESPECIALLY when adding your silica

Pollen-chucked and grown with 'cheap nutes', whatcha got?

It looks like your trying to have a photo contest here, doesn't really help your argument either. This bud looks pretty but I've seen bud from 10 different grows "look" better than that and "look" more potent.

Those plants look huge and healthy and neither of you gave him any credit for that, you obviously just like to hate on AN and anyone who uses it.

I've recently seen a 21 gram cola grown from AN, some of the best weed I have ever tasted was grown with AN.

I just gave a strain away to a friend that uses AN in lucky dog medium and his plant is WAAAY different than mine! I grew in FFOF soil and Fox Farm trio and my plants took over 60 days before I cut them down and they could have went longer.

For some reason his seems to be finishing two weeks earlier and with more and smellier bud on the plant. I've never heard of this, it is for sure the same plant from clone, smells the same just stronger.

Bigger yield in a shorter time, sounds like a win/win. Wonder why more people don't use it. How do you know when to flush if AN shortens flowering times? Should I use AN's flushing solution, I don't wanna taste chemicals. Thanks

I haven't used it yet, I've heard the "final flush" makes it taste better, I don't quite believe it. I'm sure some of their products are bullshit.
That being said I have a bunch of friends who grow and they all use it, I don't think it actually shortens flower time, maybe just grows more efficient?
Sorry if that's confusing,.. If you stunt a plants growth you add to the total flower time or growth time, I feel like when running most of the whole AN lineup plants seem to never skip a beat and even make some strains seem to finish faster.

As to when to flush,... You don't really need to unless you overfeed. Plants are kind of like us, they will tell you what's up and when they are mature. Fertilizers don't "leave" the plant when you flush it.

Dry properly and cure properly, if it's a good strain you won't need to worry about it smelling like hay.

I disagree on only needing flushing if u overfeed. I will agree with that statement concerning Cyco nutrients. But pretty much every other nute line creates salt build up, because the N, P & K are bound to larger molecules, and when pulled OUT of those larger molecules, salts are left behind that need to be flushed. Its one of the reasons it’s recommended to give only pure water every 2nd or 3rd feeding/watering with most nute lines. Cyco... theyre a different animal. Cyco provides NPK in much smaller molecule sizes, and I HAVE seen non-flushed bud turn out well when cyco is used sparingly. Even then, you really need to know what youre doing to pull this off. Accurate knowledge of exact nutritional requirements is a must. But for everything else... flush.

If you dont want to have to flush - youll need to go straight organic. Living soil, no till coots mix, etc.

Read this entire thing then report back. I used to think the same thing.

There are reasons to flush with certainty mediums but doing it at the end of the plants maturity is just nonsense.

Nowhere in the history of agriculture has anyone ever flushed anything, herbs, fruit, spices, tobacco....ANYTHING! Lol why would cannabis be any different?

After reading all of that I went on my own learning expedition to prove it wrong. After that and talking with a botanist about it, I'm convinced you only have to flush if you overfeed and hurt the roots.

The plant isn't retarded... it will purposely move nutrients from the leaves to the bud late in flowering, this alone crushes the theory of harvest flushing if you think about it.

I even argued high times rates the entries on "the flush" but honestly now I know I could get a 10/10 without flushing and just a proper dry and cure like all herbs need to maintain proper smells and rid of chlorofil.

Right here is where you are correct but need to look again, those "salts" you are referring to can't be taken up by the plant and put into the bud, only movable forms of NPK can be moved around through the stock and into the leaves and buds.

That being said the only salts left behind will be in your roots, not in the bud themselves so flushing to improve the taste of the "bud" is useless. If there's a lot of buildup in the root zone the roots can be harmed which will actually result in a lack of uptake and deficiencies from what I read. This is over feeding and the only reason to flush, if you burn your plants you won't be able to flush out damaged tissue

Imagine if people starved animals before butchering them cause they feared nutrients might make the taste bad.

Wouldn't have very good beef going around at all now would we?
