i saw my first flowers forming this afternoon. as soon as it got dark the death-to-alll-buds-moth flew in. they lay eggs which hatch into caterpillars which love to eat my buds. i bought a bottle of BK today. tomorrow i buy a big sprayer. they will not get me this year.:evil:

they take huge chunks out. then it rains and the rot sets in.

notice the chunk missing out of my big cola?

something with "BK" in it. i've never used anything so this will be a test. it is organic and i plan on spraying the leaves with it.

i used to have a big bug zapper. i cut hole in the screen so the moths could get in. they would sizzle until they caught on fire then fall to the ground burning. my wife made me get rid of it.

You could try a soapy mixture on the larvae and bugs. Take a spray bottle, fill the bottom half inch with antibacterial dish soap, 3/4 water and 1/4 vinegar. Spray it all over your plants until sudsy, let sit for at least a day (do this in the evening and spray next evening) them spray off with your hose. This has helped me to get rid of aphids, catepillers, spider mites and anything else that tends to live on and much our flowers. The vinegar also helps to shine and green up your leaves.
