Pretty funny thread, I must say.

One guy calls another guy, "nigga" on national television and a troupe of RIU people come in to defend him. A commenter implies that scholarship athletes aren't known for their scholarship and that makes him racist.

For the record, I don't consider the UK basketball player racist. I think he was just upset and emotional after losing a game and he made a remark that was accidentally captured on a live mic. Now, it's news! Welcome to America!

Very few people are racist, but they goddamned well better steer clear of all the forbidden words if they know what's good for them..

The kid may not have meant it in a racist way. But maybe he did. I don't know for sure.

My main point here, which has been overlooked by the majority of my attackers, is that if a white person had made a similar remark against a black person, it would have gotten exponentially more attention.

And yes, scholarship athletes are, generally, pretty dumb.

Yes, you are correct. My comments were just a general observation on RIU and America. Some scholarship athletes are very intelligent, but most are in college to prepare for pro sports. I don't blame them for it either. If I had six sigma athletic abilities and could be an instant millionaire I would concentrate on that as well.

There is great profit in perpetuating the division between races in America, the race hustlers are gonna squeeze every penny out of it. That is the American way!
 
All I can say about Wisconsin basketball is the myth isn't true crackers, Honkeys and now according to Andrew Harrison niggas can play.

i would say that when beenthere said chesusrice 'spent his money like a nigga', that would qualify as a very racist usage of the term.
