Annual or Perinneal?

I have grown for a few years, twice outdoors. I am so used to grow and chop that it never even entered my mind if cannabis is an annual, or a perennial plant!

If perennial, what happens if you harvest, cut it back dramatically and let it stay for next year.

I saw this program where this guy in Kona patented a way of growing coffee plants on trellises like they do for grape vines. Increased production dramatically.

I believe that there is no original thought left in regards to growing cannabis, so is this an old subject?

Yes its annual, aka completes life cycle in 1 year & relies on seed for survival,(naturally that is).

But (climate permitting) it can be revegged after harvest as long as u leave sum growth for photosynthesis.
