Another 2x2 grow…amnesia haze

I’m not sure how this will go but we shall see. I stared the grow on sept 5 when I put the germinated seed in a pot of potting soil from a big box store. 15 days later I bought some roots organic original to change the soil out and move it into the tent. Last night I topped from the 6th node to the 4th node and will start doing lst and using my scrog net.

My big question right now is how tall should I put the net? We’re in a 5 gallons pot inside of a 2x2x5 tent, using an hlg 100r light, and ac t4 kit with a stationary and oscillating 6” fan. My previous grows were bubblegum and 2 BlackBerry kush autos so sativa dominants are completely new to me. Here are some pics to get us caught up.
I’ll try to keep this thread updated but feel free to comment any time.

You position the net wherever you want or need it.
Attach the net to the tent poles with zip ties, slide the net up or down until you're happy.
Add another for support later if desired.

I should have worded that better. How much stretch is to be expected with this strain? This will help with determining how high to put the net. My bad

I'd say plan for it to stretch 2-3x however tall it is when you flip to 12/12.

Lots of factors that change and all over again with each seed. Clones are more predictable. Its a dance each run youll figure out what to do as needed. They pretty much nailed it with what was said already thats it pretty much.

Some strains will hold buds like trees others will fall upside down and need netting to hold them. Just dont weave branches too much like a jungle gym it blocks light and can mold if packed tight enough.

Other words dont cross branches over eachother more than once and then especially again in the second net which should just be for support.

Growing in a similar size tent and sprouted within a couple of days of you so will be following along with interest.
eyyy that makes 3 of us lol. got me a 32x32x60. I have Bubblegum Sherb auto going(on 5th node, doing LST personally), and a mutant photo Godfather OG. Plan to veg the Godfather OG till she takes up almost 2/3rds the tent, then flip to 12/12. The Auto should finish here in 8 weeks, whereas my photo has probably 4 weeks of vegging to do yet, and 10 weeks after that of flower. So i'm anticipating when I chop Bubblegum Sherb, i'll have 5-6 weeks left on the godfather.

Took this picture today about to start lst into the scrog net. I’ve been going on every day and pushing her around to do some kind of training lol. I underwatered and let the light get too close so she’s had a bit of stress along with the bad start but seems to be doing ok. Thoughts?IMG_9026.jpegIMG_9027.jpeg

Looking good to me. Is this an auto or a photo?
Photo. Thinking of vegging for another week maybe two then flipping.

I’ve only done water only with a very small amount of cal mag that stopped the spots from forming but that may have been water on the leaves as well.

Hmm only thing I would do different is lower it and spread the branches more, help those budsites that will be next branch or node down get direct light :bigjoint:

My leaves looked a lot worse than yours about a week ago.

But those leaves have now been trimmed so overall both plants look better.

I think they bounce back pretty quick even if you mess up a bit. Might not get a perfect harvest but it should be smokeable bud.

After I took this pic, I lowered it a little. I want to almost fill it completely before flipping.

I sure hope so lol. Thanks for the encouragement

That's what I love about scrogs - gives you time to get everything where ya want it. Simple yet genius. Its extra effort, some might call waste of time, but I like to make my own with black string from harbor freight. Like $4, but I can move where strings cross. If a branch doesn't quite reach the next cavity in the scrog, I can slide one string a bit to keep the canopy height damn near perfectly flat/even

I'm curious how long I'll feel like doing these little extras lol. Now that I think about it, I suppose buying a regular scrog and then using wire or string between strings in the scrog cavities could achieve the same bongsmilie

This morning’s pic. I am noticing water pooling on some of the leaves. Could it be time to add the second fan? I think, if she continues to grow like this, I’ll be flipping to flower soon. Already seeing some pre flower pistils, so she technically should be ready to do so any I wish that I could wait another couple of weeks but this tent is only 5 ft tall and I’m not sure how much this AH will stretch. It’s been water only other than a little cal-mag a couple of watering ago and 1/4 strength maxi bloom a couple of days ago. Not looking too bad I think.

I flipped her to flower this weekend. Yesterday was her first full day of 12/12. This pic was taken after feedingIMG_9048.jpeg

Todays pictures. First of all…crazy growth. Second. What’s up with these spots? I did a little cleaning of a few suckers and fan leaves for improved air flow but left most of the leaves. Today is 5 days of 12/12, I may run out of room!IMG_9061.jpegIMG_9060.jpegIMG_9062.jpeg
