Well this is the first time I've seen all of the growth praying and with vigor since week 3 veg!!! Still only at 60% intensity on my 2x100 watts. Everywhere I look says they got theirs pumped to 70-100% by flower, but taking my time. Less is more! Lol

Also am doing 8 plants at 12/12 from seed. They may not yield a lot, but should finish when the two main plants do or 1-2 weeks after.

Got the "12/12 from seed" babies soil filled in their final pot(-1) lol though I bet some 1/2 gallons would be better.

Gonna be fun to see if I can make both of these work! :-P

MAIN 2 PLANTS ARE FEMALE!!

Since I can't update my first post, thought I'd list nutes I've used so far and how.
  • magnesium - epsom salts: 1/2 tsp per 16oz helped
  • calcium - tums: 1/4 tablet per 16oz worked for me
  • lower pH - distilled white vinegar: tsp/16oz dropped my tap water from 7.4 to 6.2. also used epsom salts at this point though.
  • FF Big Bloom - 1 or 2tsp per 16oz: I think this shit is GREAT! I believe was instrumental, adding microbes needed after I fed mag and calcium, plus little of its own cal/mag. Great mix of all/most secondary macronutes
  • FF Tiger Bloom - 1tsp/42oz(1/3 gal): working well for early flower. Bottle says 2-3tsp per gallon so fairly spot on.
  • Alaska Fish Emulsion, pH 3.6-3.8
    • 1 to 1.5 tsp/16oz: for veg, worked well, organic, BUT my strain either needs little nitrogen, or this formula is more than 5-1-1.
    • 1tsp/gal: for pre flower, only every other feed for stretch. Probably stop after week 3 flower(today starts week 2)
  • Used coffee grounds - DON'T RECOMMEND, technically nitrogen in a pinch, used 20% this+80% Jiffy starter in first red cups, also added as LIGHT top dressing thinking help lower pH before I found Vinegar.
  • Organic Apple Butter - 2 heaping tsp/gal in flower, I used molasses before, and this had molasses, so figured why not :eyesmoke:. pH of 4.6 or lower so probably lowers feed solution pH a bit. Will test tomorrow.
Week 9.5, start week 2 flower
Planned gallon mix, 1/2 gal each main plant
  • 4 tsp FF Big Bloom
  • 2 tsp FF Tiger Bloom
  • 1 tsp Alaska FE(might use once more after this feed)
  • - Will test solution pH, if not below 6.0 will add 1 tsp Organic Apple Butter
"12/12 from Seed" plants
  • nada! gave circle dribble around each after repotting today
Feding every watering every 2-3 days depending on moisture 2.5 knuckles deep(2-3") for mains, dryness of bottoms for 12/12 Seedlings

P.S. Clean humidifier!! Lol got slight reddish pink scum build up - Serratia marcescens - Goes Airborne, cleaned with bleach, hope I caught it plenty early.

I actually had to lower intensity from 60% to 50%...got slight bleaching on fan leaf surfaces. Think raised surfaces/mini mountains that look whitish green...fml it must be bc the strain was bread outdoors for so many years in an area with mild sun through most the day but 1-3 hrs midday. I hope it doesn't create a shitty finish from lack of light. Fuck fuckity fuck

Well from more experienced folk, it's not light bleaching and taco'ing looks more like canoes than the symmetric "V" shape my blades are.

With encouragement I turned my lights up to 70%, they were at 60% for 4 days, 50% yesterday so hoping the difference will stretch em and not stress em. Just watered yesterday with the nutes I mentioned 2 posts ago including the apple butter lol.

This morning starting with 70% intensity

Have you tried letting them dry out and get an idea of the weight of the pot dry? When I say dry I mean they are laying over dry. My opinion is they are overwatered still. It’s just my opinion and I’m not there but just because the top inch or two is dry doesn’t mean they are still waterlogged roots. Sometimes I need to remind myself what dry actually is and believe me these things are like camels…they can carry water for a bit.

the lights could be some issue too it’s just not my jamb. Others will help. but the color and the look seem to point to overwatered. I’d also pull all the plant material you are hacking off out of there also just as a practice.

Appreciate the response growmie! I know I type a lot, but if you'd read the post you'd have seen I just watered them yesterday and i'm on a healthy 2-3 days between schedule. So next real watering will be Sat or Sun depending on how much more they drink with more light.

I did learn to get a feel for my pot weights, they're definitely damn light when dry. I don't think I can do much of a lift test now with my scrog. It's fairly taught and main stem is already almost 90 degree'd under it, with the topped main colas actually under greater degree of bend. Sooo I started sticking my middle finger almost to the main/palm knuckle. I don't water unless it's dry or just the very tip of my finger feels a little moisture, almost more a cold feeling than feeling wet. That's what got me on the 2-3days for the last 2-3 weeks. Before that I had overwatered :wall: , so I gave em a good 5 or 6 days till I adopted the above method lol

Noticed an oddity today. One of my budsites topped itself naturally . Instead of new growth continuing upward from Branch's main stem, this branch end center growth with fan leaves and more more new growth, but is growing two new budsite shoots either side from the same node.

Anyone ever see this?

Week 3 of Flower(week 10)
Well I thought it was feeding day..but the pots were plenty moist this morning and tonight. They darkened in color and still growing healthy; which surprised me after I saw the tent was 83.X and rh@34%. The 12/12 seedling are looking healthy as well!

Didn't have much time this morning - Easter festivities; so I mixed my nutes into the gallon soon as I woke, went to tent, no need to water. Will a gal of water w/nutes keep for a day or two? The jug is in darkness(closed cabinet), but I did give it a mix, and a lot of white residue/particles were visible till it was mixed back in.

Two days later and these babies still haven't drank all their water. I'm going test soil pH again after that Epsom salt+tap water light feeding I gave. Hopefully pH is at least around 6 now.

Flowers looked like they grew some, but otherwise looked almost stagnant. They're a little bushier, but lack of drinking water has me a little concerned.
Also raised my lights another 2-3inches, but bumped the intensity to 70%. Sucks bc too much light and too little can both stunt growth.
PXL_20240403_202730878.jpg

EDIT: Its kind of wild looking at these on a big screen. The color shade differences. Like the two left budsites of the right plant are much paler, like a dusty green. In fact the left plant is a different range of green all together. Nerding out :weed:

2 days into Week 3 flower(week10)

They got moderately dry, enough that I half dosed them this feeding but also added Epsom salts since left plant has those signs again.

My purple nugs are coming in!!! And they've been getting plenty of tiger bloom so shouldn't be related to nutes. Also just read that purple in stems, petioles is common to be from a deficiency. In leaves and flower not so much! Most the 12/12 seedlings are doing well also!

It's been 3 days and these girls weren't showing much of any progress. I've been using some synthetic nutes for 6 weeks, and feeding EVERY watering. Since I've been supplying moderate amounts of everything, my guess was salt build up. So for the first time I flushed them with 2 gallons of luke warm/room temp tap water. I have no milk crates or anything to elevate and drain them, so I fell back on good old boyscout knots! Suspended herb lol

PXL_20240408_214833652.jpg

Here are pics I took when out from under the LED grow lights(flushed in bathtub hanging from curtain bar)

It is BONKERS how much worse plants look under LED's. I didn't think much was wrong with the right girl. But decided to flush her too since she's been getting the same feed, so salt build up had to be getting there.

Last half gallon for both included minimal nutes - 1 tsp tiger Bloom, 3tsp of big bloom(calls for 2tbsp/6tsp per half gallon). Hoping this fixes the stunted growth and calcium looking issues(brown spots, yellow blotches on fan leaves). And most of all gets that damn pH up. Been trying to raise it from 5.5, got it to 6.0, but wouldn't get to my happy place of 6.5

We shall see in the coming week.
