Sooo alrighty I got me an idear!

There's another DIY co2 on here that use a cooler that gave me an idea. I just happen to have a big ass air pump layin around and a big ass cooler.

I'm thinking I can put dry ice in the cooler with the pump and the little heat the pump makes will keep the dry ice Rollin. I'm gonna run the air tube out to a network of tubing that runs to each group of 4 plants.

Il get pics up as i get it going I just wanted to open the floor for ideas before I get building.

Anyone got any ideas? See any issues? Any questions?

You can use a plastic pop bottle,, the system is cheap and does work, no dry ice needed, Know people whom had good results with their use. There are also Bucket Systems you can buy , but are pricey

The setup I'm workin on will have a ppm monitor and il be able to set how strong and when it runs.

All in all i don't think it's gonna be a huge savings over tanks and regs but I had the stuff laying around already, might as well repurpose them.

I only have 3 plants growing. Tried the sugar water & yeast. Got co2 but also attracked ants and caused a white powdery film throughout my grow room. Cleaned it all up and went back to using a larger fan to circulate fresh air every day. Good luck with your dry ice.

O jeez I didn't even think if the ants with that method. Could be really annoying I bet. Gnats like that stuff to don't they?

Thanks for the luck. I ordered the ppm monitor today. I just got an atlas 6 by Titan. It's a handheld/wall mount/desktop meter with an alarm. I'm gonna just use a sentinel digital cycle timer I had laying around to dial in the strength.

Should I be preloading my co2 and getting it up to strength before my lights come on? Or just have it come on when the lights come on?

I think that the best thing you did was ordering a co2 ppm monitor, because it will show you 1st hand that dry ice, or sugar yeast methods dont work

Ya for sure if it doesn't raise it at all il eventually upgrade. Tanks and all that stuff gets pricey. I used to fill my own co2 tanks when I played paintball and when you would be gassin up that shit would leak all over the place. It's got a very very unique taste.

Last night when I got the system rolling I took one of the hoses dumping co2 and put it in my mouth to see if I could taste the co2 or feel the pressure and wow,
It's taste like straight up co2. So much pressure I actually like cough/sneezed and had some Booger issues on my mustache lol. So I know something is comin out just how much idk. Like you say the tester was about the best thing I could get.
