alright so im new to this site and new to growing. heres my situation, i live in upstate NY Pine Bush if anyone knows it, but i started college in Philly and now have an apartment out here. So my plan is to start some plants here then go back to my house in NY and plant them outside. Its not NY city either, i live on a mountain. I could grow in or near a stream, in a small open field on a high hill top, a clearing in the woods, or even in a bog kinda area. Whats my best bet for growing plants outside? Im going to be here in philly at school so i cannot maintain them, im jsut gonna plant a bunch and hope they grow on thier own. Should i plant them inside of planting pots in the ground? Im starting them in small containers with mircale grow soil stuff right now. well let me know what you guys think, I appreciate it.

also whats a good site to buy seeds from, and would it be worth buying seeds to leave outside?

If you can, I would say grow inside. You are able to control virtually everything.

A good place to buy seeds is the link that's in your post. Otherwise check out Nirvana.

You can start your plants inside and then transplant them outside. Some one posted a methed for using burlap bags. You might want to check that out, sorry I don't remember who it was. VV

So I planted a good 20 seeds a good 2 weeks ago. Half of them I started 2 weeks ahead and the other half 1 week ahead. I dug holes near a stream and used planting pots with some sand at the bottom and then soil on top. Not sure what kind of soil, some planting soil I found at the house. But ill be checking on them this weekend and see how its all going.

and thanks for the tips.

I thought you were going to germinate them and then plant them. Oh well, still sound work, just not as successful. VV

i would recommend either planting a few feet up a creek or river bed or using growbags, if you really wanna put some time into it make a automatic irrigation system... its all up to you
