Another Marijuana Related Rant

Why is marijuana illegal? Why is it looked down upon, both the plant itself and the people who partake of it? Pot is evil, but its ok for shows like Two and a Half Men to GLORIFY going out and drinking until you don't your name, or popping prescription medicine. This is on NETWORK TELEVISION! Come on people, if you really and truely are against marijuana, then you should just place your stance as anti ALL drugs, not just the ones that are illegal. FUCK ANTI MARIJUANA LAWS! LEGALIZE IT! YES WE CANNABIS! , <3, &

because of Jerry Anslinger. he put a bunch of money into an anti-marijuana campaign. he made people believe the mexican immigrants were coming into border towns and smokin weed and causing havoc. so, the ppl agreed with him and they passed the law. its been illegal ever since because the idea has been perpetuated by the "drugs r bad" crowd. religious people have a lot to do with that

Marijuana is illegal because as an industrial/manufacturing source it would compete with a TON of other things.

Stronger longer lasting textiles
Stronger plastics and building materials (foundations/cement/concrete/etc)
Stronger longer lasting paper
The best plant to grow for ethanol in the world (supposedly the #1 biomass plant on Earth)
Better for medicine and nutrition

the list goes on and on
people realized this in the early 1900s and did everything they could to make it illegal so they could continue to operate and sell things the way they had been doing
