another newbie needing help

i already have a post up and just wanted to reach the rollitup community as well as grasscity. here is the other post http://forum.grasscity.com/sick-plants-problems/770036-plant-problems-need-help-asap.html it should have everything u need to help me out. except a membership if u don't already have one. also a new thing that might be contributing to my problems is root lock? not sure but i hear that a symptom can be hardening of the soil directly under the plant. and some of mine have many roots right below the soil, maybe half a centimeter under the surface. this help?

ok ok my bad i just thought that a lotta ppl would have accounts on both. sorry. well here they are. dont hav time for full details right now. but here is what i have. 400 somethin watts of cfl, fox farm organic soil. general hydroponics ferts. used with every watering but in lower amounts (directions said every watering) i started seeing yellow and upped the amount of nutes. one got really bad but is looking better already. i think they were gettin burnt by the lights so i moved them to like 8 inches away now because the stalks are really thick and strong ( or so i think). i have been using plain water lately to flush them out. after a while i was told to go back to the nutes but in lower amounts again. that or i have a lack of nitrogen. well what do ya think?

*i hear first timers make these kinds of mistakes*

Ohh and what is your Ph at and r u useing RO water you better switch now if not make sure your PH is about 6.3-6.8 youll be golden

all i have ph strips. they say my water is right in the middle. idk if this is correct tho, im starting not to trust these strips as they are who knows how old so i want to get more today or sometime soon at least. i will remember to not use the nutes all the time. drainage is ok usually when i water not much comes out the bottom. maybe only a couple drips of water or it will drip for about 1 or 2 mins then stop but the drip is always really slow. thanks for the help so far

I would wait a couple more nodes, you could but becareful make sure you dont forget to anchor the bottom stem to the opposite side, I made that mistake and pulled it right outta the pot haha it recovered fine tho
