Another PC Tower Grow

Okay guys, this is my first indoor grow ever and all I had was one bag seed, and I dont even know if it will be female. But, I do intend to try and I do intend to do the whole thing start to finish in a pc case. I just planted the seed this morning and I still need some help finishing my grow box.

1. Does anyone know how to wire 4 cfls into one land plug/ or know where to find that info.


2. can it be done for under $20.

any help would be much appreciated.

i would buy a twin socket adapter. buy two shop lights, 2 twin socket adapters, and 4 bulbs...good luck

AAAAAAAAARG!!!!!!!!!!!.... My cat knocked over the cup that had my seedling in it and destroyed my seed. God Damn, the stupid thing seperated the tap root from the head of the seed. Shit, can I just plunk the tap root back into the soil or is my plant a gonner before it even got started. Damn!!!!!!!!!

Dudes I think I'm still in business. I plunked the taproot back into the soil and it looks like it is growing still. Its probably stunted and will take a long time to recover but I think it might pull through. Or I could just be stoned and thinking wishfully.

I dont know if anyones reading this anymore but I'm pretty sure that the taproot is growing no leaves. Its pretty f**king intense. I'm still hoping it works out. Last night the root was under the dirt and this morning it was pokin' up with two little tiny shoots coming out. I'm a-prayin'.

wow. this thread turned from a wiring tutorial to an interesting experiment. take pics of the headless tap root. i'd like to see this one.

it's not hard to wire up multiple light sockets. usually each socket has a silver screw on the back and a copper-ish screw. (two different colors).

1. Strip a half-inch of coating off your wire. bend the exposed wire into a "U" shape. tighten the wire to either color screw. strip & bend the free end in a "U" shape to attach it to the next socket. always wire to and from the same color!

2. repeat with the other color screw.

3. so, at the end, you will have 4 sockets connected to each other in a chain. you will have 2 free ends of wires. i usually just cut the cord off an old appliance that doesn't work anymore, twist the ends together and black tape it really well. you can also buy a cord with plug at home depot. twist, tape and you're done.

for best results, buy a $5 wiring book with diagrams from home depot. it's worth it if you're worried about your work. or maybe you can find info on web.

here are two pics..Its hard to see but at the very end of the root where the head broke off there is the smallest little shoot starting... once it gets bigger I'll take more pics.

If this works out I might have to start a grow journal... So with the lights I just make like a jumper system for all four lights? relaying one to the other and then I can just wire it all into one plug? did I get that right? I'm not bad with simple electrical work but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

so you keep your cat and your plant near each other?? with the luck you are lookin for i think you should def get that plant in its case soon...

it was just a freak accident I dont usually keep them together butis in a case now

Here are a few more pics. Its been less than 24 hours and the little bit right on top was a whitish yellow last night is now green and the tiny bit of exposed root is also starting to turn green. This might work yet.

well tobad for me my sprout died...oh well that expeirament is over. Instead I'm gonna get some seeds from a friend of mine and if I kill those too then I'll just buy a clone. Either way I will do a pc case grow so stay tuned

well if anyones still interested after all this time I just got a few seeds so I'm starting again. watch for a journal. YAY.
