Well, I found it....MOULD!! Just a little bit and I harvested the bud it was on so not to stir it up. I hate this....now I'm tempted to harvest it all. Raining now but nice weather is coming. Only a week or two to go...aaarrrrggghhh!!

OH NO it was snowing/sleeting/raining last nite. HEAVY downpours for the last 2 days. Freeezing at night.
Going to pick em today.
I picked the LA Widow 2 days ago, looks to yield about 5 ounces. Really purple bud from the cod temps.
Cant wait to see the sugar black rose, maple leaf indica, and green crack.
May have to leave the green crack i dont thin its ready, it will probably freeze to death but if not then cool
I found some small amounts of mold on a few buds of LA widow. Now too bad, nothing major.
Hopeing for good things on SBR.

This was my first outdoor grow. Next year I will plant 20 plants and only do proven fast flowerers.
As far as i can tell, the outdoor weed is in no way comparable to my indoor 800W setup.

Opposite for me. My outdoor plants do far better than inside. Now I have made errors. Which could be a contributing factor. And I have to flower the plants on a smaller scale. I use 2 240 watt LED with come CFLs for side lighting. But outdoor look far healthier. Extending my tent up by 2' so I can put larger plants in. Also going to push more air flow in and take more out!!

The cold can turn weed brown? I thought that shit was bud rot.
Any pics of bud rot. I've seen online pics but need to see from REAL people. So I know what to look for. I don't think I see any but she's a big plant with long dense colas. Do I have to pick through them to inspect.

I didn't take any pics but It is easy to see once it effects the outside of the bud. I do daily inspections, looking for odd growth (curling, dying brown leaves) if I find any I pull the bud away from stem and look closer at it. Sometimes its nothing, other times that odd leaf is attached to a mound of of gooey brown, rotten bud. This morning I found a noticable brown spot on the outside of a bud. It was obvious because the rest of the bud is dank green.
The only advice I can give is inspect closely. Look for brown spots that just don't look right. The pics I've seen online are buds swallowed by it. I like to catch it earlier then that.
It is a chore with bigger plants to look thoroughly, but worth it in the end imho.

I got a week left to mine...pouring here too..20141005_182504.jpg I had a branch snap from its own wieght and the wind..so being this close to harvest I said screw it..brought it in to dry..will use as a smaple smoke while I am trimming ..lol 20141005_184929.jpg . praying that the mold stay away for at least another week...been out every 2 hrs shaking the plants trying to get most mositure from sitting on them,it not the rain itself that hurts it..its the stagnant water that creates mold..I go away for the week tomorrow..Praying that the great green god is nice to me until I return.,Wish u luk on urs20141005_182451.jpg20141005_182523.jpg

I just had a branch snap... sooo took some down as well. I am putting mine in the shed for protection at night. We've been lucky as it's rained at night and been ok during the day. MUCH colder out there.

I picked the SUgar Black Rose yesterday. Lost about half the large buds to bud rot. The buds that were saved are pretty decent. Nice and frosty, sweet stinky and very very sticky.
The L.A. Widow i chopped a few days ago is dried and yielded 6oz. Nice colour, purple and green with some of the purple turning almost black. Smells kinda 'planty' but should improve with curing.
The green crack is gigantanormous. It still needs a couple weeks but i think its going to have to be chopped tomorrow :-( Its just too cold and wet i dont think it will survive. the forecast for the area looks bleak.

Snipped a couple of colas last night. Don't see any rot anywhere at this point... was dry today and I have put her in the shed with doors open until dark. But weather is looking wet over the next couple of days. Hope to get to the 18th of October out of her, but it could be a push.

Bud rot will make the buds all soggy and wet. Also theywill look molded or the bud may be brownish/black and crumbly. If there is any rot on the GC today i will take pics.

Just checked on few ladies and they look pretty damn good considering all the rain we've had(I also experienced the mini hail storm). Plants are nowhere near the size I'm used to, but flowers are just about ripe and I see no mold. Can't complain I guess.

I'll be harvesting just about everything this weekend but I'll leave a couple out just to see how long I could have went.

A general note for everyone please take care not to post pics taken On a smart phone or any device that will track the location of your pic. I posted a pic from my smart phone and 3 days later there was a chopper flying directly over the spot where my pic was taken. To my good fortune I had all ready cut down the one that was there and the rest of my crop was well hidden from view and blended in with the surrounding brush. After a cautious approach and very keen ear I harvested my last plants which could have used more time but I did not want to wait any longer incase they had been spotted and were to be chopped down and distroyed. Lesson learned for me. I have a camera in the area is how I spotter the copper chopper

Good point and taken... I do it all the time! I guess will use a digital camera from now on. Scary shit.

We had a night a few days ago of -4c and stayed in the minuses from about 2am to 2pm, think by 4 pm it had warmed up to about +4c.. I thought the girls would be a goner, but checked on them and they are still perfectly fine. These plants really are resilient
