Any cloners?

Anyone clone their plants?

Just wondering. I got a couple going and I think I'm doing it right/okay.

I'll you ******* my method (that's not racists it's just how I talk.)

First I cut the clones right? With fiskars. Halfways, so they're diagonal. Then I dip them in cloning gel and stick them in either soil or an 'earth plug.' Put it in humidity dome with CFL above it.

Mist them twice a day and fan them. After about 14 days the earth plugs show lots of roots (NICE!)

Plant them in buckets and place under 12/12 lighting under HPS. right?

Okay so I got them and their all rooted and I put a couple cut coke bottles with holes with tape over them under da light right?

Okay they're looking good.

Anyone have any tips? I was like HOLY SHIT when I saw all the roots coming out of the plug. I got a couple clones in SOIL too and they're ready to plant.

So, I gotst a question, right?

When you transplant your clones do you keep them under a bubble and gradually let it off them?

Cos one of my clones fell over and I tied her up a little bit and put a coke bottle over her under the light. It's okay now though.

So yeah. What's up?

i always kill clones it seems but i don't think you have to put them under a dome once you have strong roots. i wouldn't put them under 12/12, you want them to veg right? most people do 18/6 or 24.

No you must have misread or I mistyped. I vegged them to get roots. Then I just put them under 12/12.

I.E. I had the clones under 24 hour light for about 2 weeks to get roots. Then put them under the HPS for flowering.

Sounds pretty good. One step I do is put cut into water for 60 sec before hitting it with cloning gel.

Also once the cut roots, you don't need the dome. Personally I don't use humidity domes at all, but they are beneficial.

My whole grow is run off of moms that are 1st gen cuts. I'm currently perpetually growing clones...

Yeah I put the clones under the HPS yesterday and one of them flopped over so I made a makeshift plastic dome out of a coke 2 liter for it. It came back after about an hour.

So then I took the domes off the three of them today and one of them was likin it, but I think I'm just gonna slowly ease off of the plastic domes for them under the 12 hour light.

my clones would be way too small to flower after 2 weeks. how tall are they? i don't like to flower until it's 2-3 feet tall

Yea I don't know how that would work. I always root my clones, transplant, then veg for at least four weeks before they even see the HPS... sometimes up to 10 weeks...

Congrats on clones! It is such fun to see roots ... "I did that" ...
and I'm pleased to read that the dome thing worked. Sometimes they just need a day or two to make peace with the Big HPS ... cn

I'm just going by reading about people rooting clones and throwing them under 12/12. Of course I only trust my own experience and people's experience who I trust.

Man it's been really exciting rooting clones. It could turn into an addiction for me, for real. Lol

Congrats on the clones bro, I also run off moms for the most part, and also let sit in water a min or so before cloning gel. I don't use a dome though never have and run around a 98 percent sucess rate at min. Its not hard just mist em and you should be good

Wow okay, next time around I'll let the clones sit in water for a minute before cloning gel! Props to kmkrsh and cash cropper for letting me in on a little secret!

Awesome, yeah I'm totally looking forward to ordering some good genetics and cloning now. It took me to my third harvest and grow to finally try cloning (and topping!)

Nice Lol! I was all over that shit my 2nd run (on 4th now) even tried supercroppin and LST too. Just never really tried sog/scrog... and don't plan to anytime soon.

Anyway I'm lookin' to grow four awesome strains and just keep moms and run my top 4 for a while. I got two picked out (bubba kush and ak47) got some clones(pittbull) from fellow RIUer Im gonna see how that turns out.

I'm ordering new seeds today or tomorrow to try to find that diamond in the rough. Theres just so many damn choices I don't know what to get...

Yeah I topped one plant this time around and am gonna do it to every single one next time around after seeing the results!

Kudos on being able to run mom's and all that, I'm actually trying to be able to go on a vacation soon (hopefully) without plants to take care of LOL!

That's one thing that sucks, can't leave for too long... I'm goin on vaca in afew months and still don't know what I'm gonna do.

Also I like to top a few times... after you top once wait a week or two and top all the new shoots again, I bet you'll like the results. Plus you can clone all the cut tops...
