Any considerations about a 32 feet long cable ?

I'll be connecting a 32 feet cable to the wall and a water pump at the other end, is there anything I should be aware of to do this ?

I know that the thicker the cable the more amps and watts it can manage but what about the length, does it matter ?

What, like an extension cord? Haha, length isn't going to make a difference...are you kidding?
Well technically lenght COULD make a difference...but not in this application, Lince you'll be fine. Just make sure its a grounded cord if thats what the pump has.

thanks weedfreak :)

Would it matter if I had to connect lets say 600w or 1000w to the cable ? I made the extension myself with some cable I bought. I was wondering in case I have to do anything like that in the future, is there any rule for this ?

Im not exactly sure about voltages/watts over a set length of cord. I do know the longer the cord the more resistance and resistance means heat and voltage drop. Depending on the gauge of wire you have it may or may not be ok to run your lights off of it. Someone in the Grow room design forum might be able to better help you, I know theres usually an electrician or 2 in there.
