Any freakshow growers around? What sort of phenotypes have you had?

It honestly might pass as a regular plant outdoors, maybe controlling the shape would provide addition blending in with the scenery.

Update to my freak grow: 3 turned out to be females and 1 was a male so I yanked it. I just STS'd 3 branches of 1 plant :)
You should have tried to isolate the male and collect pollens. Hit the little lower buds for some seed and harvest the rest for bud.

Hey, if you don't mind me piggy backing, I have a question on identifying the sex for freakshow.
I sprouted 4 seeds: 3 appear as though they could be males, and 1 appears to have pistils but maybe pollen sacks as well (unless this is a mutated calyx)

As I look these freakshows over, they all look nearly the same.

I've attached 3 photos, let me know your thoughts please and thank you :)

This first image looks to me like it's an obvious male:

These next two are the same plant which appears to have pistils, but also either a pollen sack or mutated calyx for this strain.

First is definitely a male if you didnt figure it yet. Second i cant be sure. Third looks female. Harvest the pollen if you can in any way!

I bet they aren't seeds. Just new flower. Use a loupe. Fs is incredibly hard to sex.

If it is a male, you should keep it and make seeds. You'll be in super high demand!
First off- thank you CannaOneStar for this thread- it’s hard to find a lot of info and grow diaries on this one (I should start, I suppose).

Trying to sex my freakshow.
Hard to tell if this is a female pre-flower or male Plant also has a calyx with a single white hair on it- if male preflower I suppose I have a hermie...

The 4/5 I have that made it through veg I have been growing just for fun and treating like a step-child. Still care for them but not like my others. Coming back to read more on it, I think I will pamper some of my next round more.

Germinated Jan.7, on 15/9 light/dark, and transferred three to 3gal. cloth bags (I swear I’ve seen these labeled 5gal. before, but no way...) and into greenhouse early February, with no supplemental light or heat, but placed on reflective insulation in large grow bag huddled together. Still Winter here in coastal NorCal so temps dropped to 40f some nights, and only around 11 hours of daylight, with about 7 hours full sun, but still pretty bright throughout day. One plant I accidentally broke main stem so buried it with dusting of Mykos in a 3gal cloth pot, and put in hottub-hothouse where it stayed warm and had supplemental light (sun still set low to South, and in a shadier area, so less good sunlight as my main greenhouse). She has recovered and is in main greenhouse now.

Anyhoo- is this how yours looked when starting bud? Pictures are from main cola of tallest plant.
(I use full image in comments as I find it easier to zoom-in)

I thought this thread meant freakshow phenos. Like phenos that are mutants and growing weird, didn't know you guys were talking about an actual strain named freakshow, haha. I posted a pic of my dolato a page or 2 back because I though it was a bit of a funky grower, had strange characteristics, lol.

I was wondering...
Cool strain. I really want to plant it in the forest and let it grow wild just to see how long before people notice.
Man, the guerillas and cartels would be pissed when it pollinates them...
JK! Not me, not gonna do it- chill homies! Hahaha.

I posted here earlier with a question on sex of my FS.
It’s a herm.
So, I did this-
Freakshow there is obvious; the male is from a seed that was supposed to be feminized Blueberry OG threw a Seedsman order including Dutch Passion and World of Seeds.
Kept him to open up hus freaky pheno- dude burst pollen just three weeks after germinating!!
Have other Freaks that are similar but shorter, and only showing a few white hairs so far.
Need to start dark-out cycles as we’ve just passed true-equinox (12/12) where I live, to keep the cycle going.
So, yeah-, won’t be exactly sure if seeds produced are (supposed) BB’s or Freaks, but I’m sure the offspring will tell, haha!
I just had to move the herm before it seeded my Durban Poison I might Mother.
Fingers crossed 53B1EBF4-9352-4191-B13D-1514E4F53B5F.jpeg2CD491B0-2B63-4C03-B25A-D5FA2E6FE168.jpegACDA5B30-F1AA-4C33-A940-0E45C0D2413E.jpeg

Got one in veg that was a gifted clone. Gonna take cuts and flip soon.
Old post now but how did your clone go?
i’ve had a hard time sexing mine and now that I have what looks to be a solid female, I want to clone her. Problem is finding a sizeable offshoot on mine- seems to just be shade leaves with snug little growths at the nodes, all the way up to the top cola. Not much stem to root, unless- can you make a viable clone with a shade leaf cutting??
Hope yours went well.169706A7-BF32-4610-87BA-048F0DE53378.jpeg

Not on my social media hardly at all anymore, excepting here, haha.
But I will go check it out, for sure. I enjoy the freaks.
So is this strain related to the Australian bastard that csi is working with? Find these strains very interesting but I have no desire to grow one myself, lol. No offense to all you freakshow growers> a mutant ogkb is where I draw the line, freaky enough for me

I’ve never read much about the genetics; mostly you’ll come across the story of how he spent decades growing, then began picking the phenos for FS when he noticed the mutation and how he worked in on stabilizing the mutation.

See above pic at 72 days, chopped at 76 I believe, curing now, candied grapefruit with a hint of vanilla maybe on the nose. Looks like you'll have to top and veg out to get some clones.

Thanks for the topping suggestion- I realized recently that is probably the best way as it doesn’t seem to branch out with new cola tips. I have some new sprouts getting taller I can top, but darn, just when I think I finally sexed them!
