I started a delivery service last month. It is going a better than I thought it would. Now I got a letter from the tax board and I have to pay some taxes. I took an accounting class at Oaksterdam U, since then I read that there were some changes to accounting for medical marijuana. I have been looking for an accountant here in Southern California, but my lawyer gave me a list of accountants in Northern California. I would rather conduct my business locally. There is one accountant in my town that works with collectives, but he is difficult to reach, and some of my associates says he is very expensive. I don't want to pay someone, that doesn't have time to talk, a bunch of money, when I could pay someone, that has time to help me file my quarterly taxes. I know basic accounting, so I really don't need a bunch of help, but I do want to get my ducks in a row, before my first payment is due. That way I'll be able to plan my next quarter a little better.
