Could be why your having stalled root growth

I'd say because your using coco and soil...I would let the soil have a dry down period...other wise you creating a environment that can damage your plant

I made sure there was no coco in this medium.
This new batch is of soil is pretty dry. Should I water lightly?

lol. No but seriously. I’ve tried DWC, coco, rock wool…. You name it. Soil is the only way to go. People always try to over complicate everything, myself included. MJ is one of the easiest plants to grow, just throw it in a 5 gallon bucket of Fox Farms Ocean Forest and let it rip w/ straight water!!

I always made my own soil blend.
But back when I used fox farms nutrients I never had issues like this.

Yes, I think I've over completed things.

So on the topic of watering here's what I'd do I'd water till runnoff then I would check the next day or two and stick my finger a couple inches in the top layer...if it's dry then water... if you feel moisture lay off

You don't really need a dry down period and you'll not supposed to have one if your using living soil because if the soil goes dry beneficials go dormat the stuff that's alive dies etc

But for your situation I would water till runnoff wait water when dry if and when couple top inches is dry...this is what I've done...the thing is you can't keep your roots totally saturated... The root zone doesn't get enough oxygen it becomes anaerobic if you're not getting any Oxygen then root development will definitely be affected...now coco straight coco is a little different it's a form of hydro so they can't let their medium go dry either... If you're bottle feeding them then it would not hurt you to let the soil go slightly dryer... Keep in mind too though during dry periods your salts from nutrients become more concentrated

I use living soil now so I have to keep my soil somewhat moist and can't let it go dry but I've done everything man I've done bottle feeding and bag soil


Even did a mixture of coco/bag soil/ewc just like you did... And I let it go dry (not bone dry like the Sahara desert) and had no problems...take it for what u will my experiences tho

They're. In the new soil. They look happy this morning. I'll just give it time and see what happens.
