A compadre of mine who runs a videography company (I help filming stuff) uses 'final cut pro' for all his editing. Mac based though. We use Canon 5D mark 2s for everything, and the end result in final cut pro lookes very proffessional. Infact, I'm sure many proper films over the last few years have been made this way.

No problems amigo. Are you getting into film? Or just some home videos for laughs maybe. Im curious now :)
i've been doing a lot of underwater video using GoPros. plus a bunch of fishing and other footage. i have days of old footage so i wanted to get it all into a video. now that i've been playing around with it i really like it. trying to put a video together right now in high def.

I have been using Premiere since 6.5 and I think it is still a great program.

My tip for starting out is to go to Lynda.com or creativecow.net are great sources.

To be honest, my first videos I edited were not that great, but like anything, you always get better with practice.

It is a great program and my favorite for editing personal stuff. If you ever want to work in TV or film though, most post production houses use Avid MCP.

go take a picture of you flipping me the bird in front of your house and post it and i will do the same. or just do some homework on this site and loof for the 1000 posts under this account or phillipchristian where i posted similar pics. hint...go check out the "picture of yourself" thread and you'll find plenty. i can't keep running around posting pics for you guys so do some homework if you wanna see one so bad. if not, then just post a pic in front of your house.

I hate Premiere... I use iMovie 9 and FCPX. Laugh if you want but most people don't need much more than that and I make music videos that aren't too flashy.

I use CyberLink Power Director 10

It's very powerful and costs less than $100, lots of support.

I've have published about 20 Product Videos using it. If you want to do it, you can.

I shoot a lot on the Blue Screen, so the Chroma Key is really important to me and it is excellent. It also allows 100 screens in one.

It's great to put stuff to HD, Publish autoplay DVD's (or 5+ other formats) and perfect for Ytube.
And Sound Wave editing.

Check it out on the web.

Good Luck :joint::peace:

Amazing! I hadnt seen a camera like that, looks cool. I tried a head-cam for the first time skiing last year and it was so much fun to watch the footage. Good luck with the video man, I can't see signatures atm, got the option turned off - but I will check out your first vid.

Ahh, fishing, so relaxing. That reminds me, I wanted to try and catch a brown trout this year!
